September 10, 200816 yr Seems everyone reckon Pink has her second solo number one on her hands - It's a great song and i think she can get there too but it is such a tough week!! Reckon Oasis will beat her tbh.
September 10, 200816 yr I would love Oasis to get to No.2...it's about time they had a lead single go in beneath No.1 Go Let It Out, The Hindu Times, Lyla and this new single all follow the same 'come on lads, lets have another beer' formula which I despise yet, they always seem to follow these singles up with something better; Sunday Morning Call, Songbird, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and The Importance Of Being Idle would all have made better lead singles as they are different to their usual formula

September 10, 200816 yr I'm rubbish at these, but lets give it a go: 15th Sep Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire #1 = woooo! McFly - Lies #2 (hopefully not #1!) 22nd Sep James Morrison - You Make It Real #8 Rihanna - Disturbia #4 Will Young - Changes #2 (maybe number 1, but I just have a feeling it will miss out) 29th Sep Alicia Keys & Jack White - Another Way To Die - not heard - from what I know, maybe top 10 Boyzone - Love You Anyway - #7 Oasis - The Shock Of Lightning - #1 (possibility) Pink - So What - #2 6th Oct Kaiser Cheifs - Never Miss A Beat - #5 Sugababes - Girls - #2 (this has rather split the fans) 13th Oct Leon Jackson - Don't Call This Love - #11 (wishful thinking!) Saturdays - Up! - #9 Snow Patrol - Take Back The City - #3 (this could easily be their highest charting single to date) 20th Oct Fallout Boy - I Don't Care - not heard Foo Fighters - tba Razorlight - tba 27th Oct Dido - Don't Believe In Love - #2 in usual Dido style! Leona Lewis - Forgive Me - #1 easily... 3rd Nov Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better - #3
September 11, 200816 yr 27th Oct Dido - Don't Believe In Love - #2 in usual Dido style! Leona Lewis - Forgive Me - #1 easily... I really hope that doesn´t happen... Not only because I want Dido to go #1, but because it would be embarrasing for the UK charts to have that garbage Leona´s fans call "music" at #1. But then, a song as ridiculous as "keep bleeding... keep keep bleeding" became one of the biggest hits of the year in USA, just proving the charts are pretty receptive for inferior pop garbage. It doesn´t matter if Dido misses the # 1 spot, since she has the album charts in her hands and that´s what really counts for the music industry, the singles chart being a mere promotion tool. But anyway, people who predict Dido outside the Top 5 are dellusional... the download and the physical single are being released in the same week. If James Blunt could go Top 5 with "1973", then why would not Dido stand a chance at #1??? All it takes is the music public coming to their minds before considering buyng that carp Leona is releasing.
September 11, 200816 yr Hmm I think the Sugababes aren't taking any chances on not getting the number 1: Sugababes Support White Ribbon Alliance The Sugababes have announced a partnership with The White Ribbon Alliance (WRA) charity. The charity helps prevent the deaths of women from childbirth/pregnancy in developing countries and the band will be contributing part of the profits from their new ‘Girls’ single to the charity. Boots retail shops will also be selling the single in store when it is released on Oct 6. This initiative is expected to be the first step in a longer relationship between The Sugababes and WRA.
