Were Nelly, Notorious BIG and Fatman Scoop REALLY that bad, or is this just Buzzjack's usual bias against anything not sung by a female pop princess?

As far as number ones from that genre go they're all very good. I mean they're certainly all better than 'Mr Lonely'!

Pleased to see 'World Of Our Own' as the top Westlife song by a fair distance, it's a rare thing that song is. A Westlife song that sounds vaguely original and has a tune! Their best (by default) song by far!

Edit: re Nelly: 'Over And Over' is alright, the other is c**p!

Oh God yes. "Lonely" was so disappointing, especially after the preceeding "Locked Up" showed much promise.

:( It's not looking good for the songs i gave high points too is it?

Poor Busted and Poor Shaggy I MUCH prefer Angel :(

Harve! :o How on earth...

I was only 10 or 11 when it was released :heehee:. Ring-di-di-ding-ding ring-di-di-di-di-ding. :funky: :P

Johnjo you gave so many of the highest scores... for the worst songs :P

Over & Over was bearable and Be Faithful wasn't bad but Nasty Girl was a complete mess of a song and My Place was a boring undeserved No.1

and I agree with Jester, Same Old Brand New You is actually a fairly good pop song :kink:

Yay at WTW flopping! Its not that bad but People actually took notice of the name of the song, not just the names in front of it :P

I was always shocked it beat Jojo's Leave which I thought was a surefire No.1!

I was always shocked it beat Jojo's Leave which I thought was a surefire No.1!

I wasn't :kink: Especially since I bought Nelly

Walk This Way was tragic considering the names involved...had they got Xenomania to write them a great original pop song for the cause it could have been something quite special but instead it was a wasted opportunity

Never Gonna Leave Your Side was another boring undeserved No.1, a weaker version of If You're Not The One...and that Oasis song was terrible too, glad it's done quite badly, their new single sounds the same as that song too, unmemorable dad/lad rock

Oasis' finest moment of the decade was The Importance Of Being Idle as it was completely different to what we usually expect from them, I fully expect to see that in the top 100

I wasn't :kink: Especially since I bought Nelly

I didn't particularly like either song, would have been odd to see a 13? year old girl at No.1 though :heehee:

Quite a few songs i like popping up now. I actually really like Walk This Way, it was just a tad dissapointing.

Real To Me is great aswell and shoudnt be that low.

Amarillo should be lower though, just dreadful.

I like Never Gonna Leave Your Side but HATED If You're Not The One. I also really liked Same Old Brand New You and the Nelly songs.

I hate Daniel Bedingfield but If You're Not The One is a very very good pop song...excellent melody, structure and low vocals/falsetto mix

definitely one of the classics of the decade and I was so shocked when he came out with a ballad after his garage debut Gotta Get Thru This, and slightly rockier follow up James Dean
