We've been loving and holding into this song for years, and we're so happy that we finally got to send it. It comes right from my fave retro playlist that I've sent plenty of other songs in TBSCITW (St. Etienne, Goldie and The Future Sound of London to name a few) and winner in Pop Forum Contest Ace Of Base 'Happy Nation" :wub: 'Kiss The For Me' is different sound from the usual Siouxsie 80's singles and it's a step forward to mainstream sound. "Oh La La La" contains samples of "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)" by Crystal Waters and "Want Love" by Hysteric Ego and it's all camp and it has 90's all over it. October 6, 2025Oct 6 Author I already told you that he asked for it...Ella Red's new dark-pop/alt-pop anthem 'He Asked For It' is representing our country in BJSC178, hosted by Neliönoir!!!The song is a deliberate inversion of the common phrase "she asked for it," which historically has been used (wrongly) to justify violence or blame victims, especially women. Ella Red turns it around and in her version, the man “asked for it”, subverting that trope.Please enjoy it <3
December 3, 2025Dec 3 Author Hello everyone,I have a very important information to share regarding the participation in BJSC180!!!After further review and new information that has come to my attention, I have made the decision to withdraw AY YOLA “Homay” from the current BJSC edition.It was recently discovered that the band publicly supports Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. As this directly contradicts my values and the values I want Bøtanikkä to represent, therefore I cannot continue to participate with an entry tied to that stance.I apologise for the disruption mid-contest, but I believe it’s the right thing to do.Thank you to everyone who listened, supported, and your understanding is truly appreciated.A replacement entry will not be submitted, and Bøtanikkä will sit out the remainder of this edition, but will be back if we're allowed in BJSC181.— Addy!

Built on glossy, 80s-inspired pop production and punchy live drums...it just doesn't sit in one lane throughout the whole song!!!
