October 12, 200816 yr LMAO Cat Deeley ''f***ing shutup!'' And when she said ''I'm walking down the stairs to tell them, I'm here''
October 12, 200816 yr LMAO Cat Deeley ''f***ing shutup!'' And when she said ''I'm walking down the stairs to tell them, I'm here'' I was just about to say the same thing. Cat is probably making me laugh more than the others. -_-
October 12, 200816 yr When will the song be available to download? Gotta get this to beat Leon! :D Its not on itunes yet, as I just looked
October 12, 200816 yr I swear Gary Barlow is somewhere on this track You're right - he and Peter Kay wrote it! How funny that the winners song is actually quite catchy! Cat was HILARIOUS when she told them to 'f***ing shut up', i cryed with laughter!
October 12, 200816 yr I swear Gary Barlow is somewhere on this track  He wrote it along with Peter Kay. I still prefer Two Up Two Down's version!!!! :) Norma
October 12, 200816 yr Its not on itunes yet, as I just looked  I think it's been on HMV's download site for a few hours now! Norma
October 12, 200816 yr I think it's been on HMV's download site for a few hours now! Norma All of a sudden, from wondering whether the song parody was going to be any good, I'm starting to wonder whether it is better than Take That's new single. Am I the only one who thinks "The Winners Song" is a better song than ANY of the X Factors or Pop Idol's winners songs so far? Whilst the 2 Up 2 Down version is better than any of the UK's Eurovision Song Contest entries in the last 7 years..... Gary Barlow = musical genius. Whilst this two hours of television have cemented Peter Kay's reputation as a British comedy genius. I have visions of Simon Cowell watching the show thinking "$hit that song is really good, it's much better than Leon's new single, and getting out his phone book...... "Robbie, have you got a song spare from your next album sessions ...... for me to use as the next X Factor's winners song......". I loved the binning of the Leon Jackson single. So symbolic. And as for Cat Deeley telling the crowd to be quiet ...... that was hilarious and I loved the Terry Wogan Eurovision moment of the result, she has got comedy talent much more than the 3 former Pop Idol judges although Pete was funny. The Winners Song HAS got to beat Leon Jackson to the top of the chart next Sunday.
October 12, 200816 yr That was so funny. From the dying Gran (sob story) to Cat Deely telling everyone to shut up. It was so good and done without being stupidly over the top. I don't rate the song as much, but it's pretty cool.
October 12, 200816 yr I'm wondering how the song will actually do though, will enough people know it's actually being released? I was paying full attention to it, but if it wasn't for Buzzjack I wouldn't actually know the song was being released.
October 12, 200816 yr We watched this in our flat, it was very funny :heehee: The best bits were the subtle bits, like "I've just been handed an envelope. I'm walking towards the finalists with the envelope. I'm here".
October 13, 200816 yr I'm wondering how the song will actually do though, will enough people know it's actually being released? I was paying full attention to it, but if it wasn't for Buzzjack I wouldn't actually know the song was being released. That could be a problem actually! With the instructions to 'press the purple button' for voting instructions being fake .... viewers probably thought Cat's info about the download of the song was probably seen by many as part of the parody and wasn't for real. Either way ... good song and much better than a lot of X Factor winners songs. Norma
October 13, 200816 yr That is well observed though - he is quite like Louis Walsh! they were just mocking how Dr Fox was himself in Pop Idol, don't you remember how cringy he was? he always said stuff like 'I agree with Nicki...and then said something completely different' but my favourite bit was at the end: is their a doctor in the house? Foxy: I'm a doctor! :heehee:
