October 7, 200816 yr Though their lead singles (apart from Easy and Overload) have all gone #1. But then, I'm sure had they released the download with the single, it would be #1. And my local Boots still hasn't got the single
October 7, 200816 yr Universal Island/their Management have kinda f***ed this release up big time They are lucky it has done as well as it has to be honest seeing as they have handled it so poorly  I held off until this week though to buy all the download remixes seperately to help try and get them to #1 but they have no chance of that happening :(
October 7, 200816 yr  THREE of their albums have sold 1mil+ how is that possibly a "singles act" in anyway? Have they all gone over a million copies then? I thought they had two on just under 900K and one on just over 900K but none had passed 1 million.

October 7, 200816 yr Taller passed a million in Europe back in Feb/Mar 2006 AWDF is closest to the magic million in this country with taller not to far behind it then Three just behind taller.
October 7, 200816 yr LOL Top3 is hardly bad. Girls is already a HIT and it all depends on which week you release a song and how you handle it. I don't think Girls will be their biggest hit but then who cares... you can't top yourself with every release. Realistically they have no chance of being #1 cause P!nk is really hot at the moment and it's doing phenomenally well right now, I guess she will stay at #1 for weeks (same thing happened for Kings of Leon). Being #2 would be a little extra... especially cause I'm sick to death of Kings of leon. Anyway here the Official Album sales (MUSIC WEEK) Last Updated on May 2008: One Touch: #26 First Week Sales: 5,510 at #77 Total Sales: 220,000 Angels With Dirty Faces: #2 First Week Sales: 64,772 Total Sales: 995,000 [3x Platinum] Three: #3 First Week Sales: 63,118 Total Sales: 854,000 [2x Platinum] Taller In More Ways: #1 for one week First Week Sales: 65,781 Total Sales: 884,000 [2x Platinum] Overloaded: #3 First Week Sales: 57,284 Total Sales: 568,000 [1x Platinum] Change: #1 for one week First Week Sales: 53,540 Total Sales: 453,000 [1x Platinum] Edited October 7, 200816 yr by thematrix
October 7, 200816 yr Yes but there the total sales for the UK. so I'm sure AWDF, Three and TIMW will have past the million mark globally.
October 7, 200816 yr If anyone is having problems finding it in Boots walk round to HMV - they've got loads of copies!
October 7, 200816 yr If anyone is having problems finding it in Boots walk round to HMV - they've got loads of copies! But thats not the point. They were surposed to be selling it in Boots with proceeds going to charity. It doesn't from HMV
October 7, 200816 yr if you read the sleave i think you'll find a donation goes to charity It was never full proceeds to charity.
October 7, 200816 yr at least 10p from each single goes to charity (its to be 50% of the profits made from each sale) regardless of where bought but Boots are apparently matching the donations for copies bought there. Info in CD sleeve. Anyone on here work for Boots or whatever and can find out wtf is happening with this? Wish there was 2 CDs- bought mine yest and now i want to do something else to help sales! Bought the radio edit on the day of release (week they got to no8) and remixes EP last week (no4), so have ran out of formats :( Bring on Catfights & Spotlights! :D Edited October 7, 200816 yr by spicefunk

I thought the 995 was a misprint. Regardless point is they are still more of an album act. Their singles are hit/miss. Often massive but as often can miss top 10 (who knows why even the quality ones don't always succeed). This can be illustrated by the fact they have far more no1s than Girls Aloud (with no charity/talent contest needed to get there generally), but less top 10s now. GA are more of a singles act, as there album sales tend to be much less other than their greatest hits (ie. the one with all the singles on) which sold massively Edited October 7, 200816 yr by spicefunk

October 8, 200816 yr Author Sugababes won't be Number One , they have a chance at Number 2. Was looking in HMV yesterday they had no copies anywhere , Went to my local Boots they said that only high street boots will sell them although they had the single playing , Asked in Zavvii they said that no stock had came and that only certain singles have arrived.
October 8, 200816 yr Sugababes won't be Number One , they have a chance at Number 2. Was looking in HMV yesterday they had no copies anywhere , Went to my local Boots they said that only high street boots will sell them although they had the single playing , Asked in Zavvii they said that no stock had came and that only certain singles have arrived. that's shocking! HMV i bought mine in on monday had about a dozen copies, nice full row but that could easily have sold out now. What does high st Boots even mean? I have tried city centre boots and town centre boots in another town and neither had. Has anyone seen ANY copies in any Boots? Is this typical record company mess up in underestimating demand and basically trying to put us off physicals what with hiding them in the back of the shop only doing one format and limiting stock (conspiracy theory!)?! Gah! It especially won't make #1 if you can't buy the f***ing thing!
