This was nearly my 12 in the semi... :( I ended up swapping it down to 10 as another song grew on me a bit more but this is still fantastic, a bit upsetting that it seemed to have so few other fans in this semi. Thanks for the discovery anyway.

thank yaaaas <3 Not gonna lie, was not exactly expecting to come second from bottom with this... Maybe could've done a little better in the opposite semi, idk. Looking forward to seeing where I and all the other entrants end up in the upcoming instrumentals spin-off results though! ^_^

Also, Vlasy still rules all x

At least you got a better result in the spinoff! :D Spinoffs seem to be Deandria's forté ~

Instrumentals did indeed turn out much better for us in the end… Incidentally we matched our latest Nuggets result at 7th place ^_^ Thanks to everyone who supported Vessels – 4AM, I’m glad I got to send it after having it in my potentials pile for ages and had sort of “lost hope” in sending it to the regular contest.

We reached our little goal of having three spin-off top 10s in a row, and this is our 4th of those altogether. 'Zombie' by The Cranberries came 2nd in the 2015 Halloween spin-off, Holdviola's 'Vágta' managed 10th place in Worldvision II, Owsey & Resotone - Broke My Promise & Stared to the Sea came 5th in Reinventions and finally this.

The three main contenders of the spin-off turned out to be Fljótavik, who won with the 17 minute (!) long ‘And I Will Kiss’ by Underworld (our 11 pointer), second placers Terra Avium (our top pointer!) with the beautiful ‘The Spectacular Quiet’ by Lights & Motion, whose music video also seemed to have a bit of a space theme, a little like our own entry, and Avalonia (our 15 pointer) with Thomas Bergersen’s ‘Empire of Angels’. For much of the results, it seemed to me to be a two-way race between Terra Avium and Avalonia, and it was interesting to see that my top 2 were the actual top 2 for a long time. Fljótavik, however, took the win in the end and like the host Bré said, it’s a special winner because tracks as monstrously long as that would usually not be expected to win. Ethanola’s 8 minute winner ‘Free Tibet’ in BJSC 82 was surprising enough. But there you go!

Additionally, we have sent our confirmation to the country spin-off and I have no idea how our song will go down, but that’s the fun of it all. We really like the song and it has been nice to re-discover it again specifically for this spin-off. Hope to make some great new discoveries through others as well ^_^

For the last contest of the year, we've decided to go with our sort-of-theme of sending something that would've fit in a recent spin-off. After Worldvision II where we were assigned Hungary, we decided to send a Hungarian song to the regular contest (and flopped blaaaah), and this time we have entered this very electrifying instrumental track 'Hologram' by Vogel, quite soon after the instrumentals spin-off. Call it synthwave if you will ~

Some rather interesting visuals too!

I'm excited to see how this pans out ^_^

OMG just heard this for the first time and it's magnificent  I see why you said it was an entry "that Jadakissnia would be proud of" as I would've sent it in a heartbeat if I had found it myself

Damn at me being in the opposite semi. You better qualify!!

Yesss, so glad you like it! When I saw that we were in opposite semis, for a bit I was like nooo, but fingers crossed I can get through anyway! ^_^

*goes and listens to your entry*

^ the above entry, Vogel - Hologram (being played by Jade in the final plug.dj session, despite us not being in it, slay me with those 10 woots), gave Deandria their fourth DNQ in a row. Bit disappointed, but at least I'm glad I got to send what I felt was the perfect first-time instrumental entry (in the main contest). As well as our own entry, we lost four of the songs we voted for in the semi: our 7 points went to Singerpurear: Kishi Bashi - Ode To My Next Life, 6 points was awarded to Tartford: Luce Drayton - To Be Loved (Disco Citizens R&D Edit), 3 points went to Ethanola: V.O. - Mashisa (Dub Mix) and 2 points was given to the ever unlucky Thelonia: LeBrock - One Night.

It's also worth mentioning now that the final regular contest of the year is ongoing, that I reached several of my little goals in BJSC this year that I had some trouble finding the perfect songs for (or I just fell in love with something else so couldn't bring it to fruition earlier) - I sent a song by an Estonian artist (NOËP - Move), I sent a dance song (wanted dance OR trance) in the form of Clément Bazin - With You, and finally I sent an instrumental (to the regular contest, as well as the instrumentals spin-off obviously) as stated above. Let's just forget the fact that all three of those DNQd tho :jump:

Will proceed to vote in the final tomorrow if all goes well, some good tunes to choose from judging by what I've heard so far ^_^

The impakt of that screenshot *.* The fact that your song got more woots than a lot of songs in the final tho.

This has been the biggest BJSC loss for me in a while D: Backing you all the way in Rejects! Thank you for the discovery

Oh wow really *.*

Thank you and you're welcome! You've been one of my biggest and most vocal supporters this year (dare I say THE biggest?) and I've generally liked Jadakissnia this year too ^_^ There were a few entries that I wasn't that keen on, but the likes of 'Sentient', 'Arcade Summer' and 'Scope' to name some from memory, were all soo good!!

Introducing my latest addiction in the form of the indie-influenced song 'Undercover Girls' by Holy Two, Deandria's entry for BJSC 91! Like several of my entries, there is a pretty cool video to go with the song so do check it out. I'm kinda biting my nails because I don't know how this will go down, but I hope there are others who feel the magic like I do <3

For BJSC 93 in South Danaelanda, we have entered French musician Fakear (our second French artist in a row, with Holy Two having been sent previously in BJSC 91) with the stunning track (and video) 'Ankara', which has already received some love as it was revealed in the semi final draw showcase. Having considered a different song by Fakear before, we felt this one would perhaps be a better entry. Looking forward to hearing the other entries in full and seeing what happens.

This is brillll as I thought from the clip, right up there with your best entries! Actually feels like a safe qualifier for you for once, really willing this to be a hit (I hope I'm not jinxing it saying that).

This is superb Mattias, im so happy it got the biggest reaction last night, certainly a qualifier I think & fingers crossed you get back in to the top region. It really is stunning <3

Thanks the two of you, that's much appreciated - I think after... *counts* five DNQs it's about time I get a qualifier haha. Although I'm just happy to have been able to introduce the song to people who liked it

Edit: Just saw Dan's post, thank you as well! I've got the host's seal of approval haha

This is absolutely gorgeous  I had high hopes from the preview of it on plug and those hopes were exceeded *.* great comeback, it would be an absolute travesty if this didn't qualify. But I think you should be safe!
