Posted October 5, 200816 yr Thank you for all the comments last week. Time for that old cliché, but this was a really hard week! The Pussycat Dolls finally top the chart after a slow and not so stealthy climb to the chart summit, leaving Rihanna down 2 at 3. One of the biggest climbs in chart history (including the old days) comes from P!nk, who has just done a similar thing in the official UK top 40. However, she falls just short of matching the #1 spot, having to settle for #2. Leona Lewis won the battle of the female stars this week, with the highest new entry at #8, with Forgive Me, with Britney scraping into the top 10, a far cry from when Britney topped the chart for 8 consecutive weeks with Toxic, although the song still has plenty f time to grow, and climb upwards on onwards. McFly have a very uncharecteristic chart drop of just 1 place, at #17, with the highest male act being Bryn Christopher at 9, unless you count Chris Brown with Jordin. The Sugababes miss out yet again on the top 20, but would be in #21 if the chart was a bit bigger. THey are amongst the favourites to enter next week along with Jordin Sparks, Oasis, and Anastacia (twice #1 with Sick And Tired, and Welcome To My Truth).
