Laura - Her voice is... well I've said it enough :lol:

Rachel - Only good with certain songs, which is putting me off a bit, as I think it's about being able to pull it off no matter what!

Ruth - Very disappointing last night! She should and could have done that so much better!

 

Alex, Diana, Laura, Rachel & Ruth - Who will be the Maria Lawson of this contest and go out SHOCKINGLY EARLY? :o - Surely it won't be these in the Final 5?? If it was it will WITHOUT A DOUBT be the best Top 5 ever in X Factor!

It's not all about the singing though! Madonna, Kylie and Britney aren't the biggest singers ever, but they're still talented (and same could be said about most rock bands and others)!

It shouldn't be all about the "BIGGEST voice", because it is not enough to sell records. She could produce some absolute great songs with such a enchanting voice. And yesterday I think she gave the second best performance only after Laura.

I wouldn't mind any of those 3 girls to win really ^_^

But having the best voice doesn't mean that they'll do good. Look at last years final for example. The public vote on what they see, and they go on personality/cuteness too as well as actual talent. Diana has something different to her though, she's very hippy and quirky, and she obviously takes influences from the sort of acts she likes which comes across in the tone of her voice. But also she's very northern, and very real too. I think a lot of girls will be able to relate to her, but we shall see anyway.

 

I can see Scott and Daniel going quite far in the competition tbh...

Well whilst I agree about the vocal comment and that she offers other qualities, Alexandra is the clear popstar here. Just seeing her perform last night, even given the song choice it was nothing short of blindingly obvious that she has everything it takes and more to be massive. She could be another Leona, basically. Diana couldn't...

 

I'm quite sure Alexandra won't make it to the final though, and defo won't win. The public don't have good enough taste.

And Alexandra was reported to have a sore throat, too.

 

If that's what she sounds like with a sore throat, then I would love to hear her when she's on form.

Pffffffffffft, Completely agree. She can sing and everything, but she has such an attitude problem!

 

I just think though, its not all about the singing. Being able to sing really well and sing high notes etc, well it doesnt mean you have the X factor LMAO...

 

I fricking love Rachel. Sure, she has an attitude, but so what? She has the talent to be able to pull of that attitude, and it's not a nasty one, just a cocky one. It's appealing.

 

I think I'm probably the only one but for some reason just everything about her - her voice, her styling, her outlook - really reminds me of Grace Jones!

They have bigger voices, but I don't think they necessarily have BETTER voices than Diana, and I don't think many of them have the unique quality of Diana.

But Diana ISN'T meant to be another Leona, her market is the more chilled singer-songwriter (Dido, Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy etc.). A market that often tends to shift far more albums than the generic popstars.

Leona was one in a million though. Out of all the talent contents in the UK so far, she's the only one whose actually broke America. You look at it the reverse too - American Idol, how many of the winners have done that good in the UK? Breaking foreign countries is an added bonus. The main target should be to break the UK, and I can see Diana doing that (and all of the Under 25 girls for that matter).

There were just 2 performances that I liked. Ruth and the young blond woman, I can't remember her name.

Laura: I maybe the only one but her voice goes right through me! 4/10

I agree with Off Da Endz about Rachel. I honestly dont think she should be there, her voice in my opinion isnt really that good. She probably woudnt be there if it wasnt for her past :angry:

 

Her version of With Every Heartbeat was sort of good in a cringy way.

I'll be honest. I wasn't Diana's biggest fan, but she was absolutely amazing yesterday. Really loved it :wub: She's like a female Damien Rice, who I love anyways. Hope she sticks with that kinda sound.

 

 

Pissed off that Girlband stayed over Bad Lashes! BL were a lot better. The lead singer has an amazing voice, as heard on Wonderwall. Had they sung that first they wouldn't of been eliminated imo.

 

Don't really think anyone else was that great. Alexandra was good but nothing special. I thought Rachel was good considering she didn't like the song. She gave it her best and her vocals were very good! ^_^ Don't really like the lezbo look they'v given her though :(
