I was expecting the deluxe edition of 'Kala' by M.I.A. to appear in the album chart this week. :(

Where is 'No Air'? Has 'Tattoo' overtaken it?

Thanks! Nice climb for Keane, I wonder if they'll delay the single release of The Lovers Are Losing?

The Sats are about 200 copies away from #4

Yes Ethel I was a little puzzled by that too! I just assumed they'd shifted 1,800 in between Mart!n's update and his later post!

Did you know that Mart!n got an A* in his Maths GCSE too?

Or maybe he just left out a zero? :P

So that means Geraldine at #4 is on track for about 35k by Sunday. So Pink must have increased her sales from last week then, or at the very least barely decreased at all.

Boyzone still in the top 5 physicals but nowhere near the top 10 in the official chart. Physical sales must be very very low again.

This is what I hope the top 2 on Sunday will look like.

The Peter Kay spoof show was simply brilliant and a laugh to watch

I thought everything down to the finest detail was kinda spot on, even the official video and a winners song which to my ears sounds like overly produced, soulless drivel. Genius!

Maybe Keane can finally get into the top 20 :o . The record for most weeks in chart without going top 20 is probably Amy Winehouse- Back To Black though i could be wrong, i reckon Keane could challenge that though.
tbh, i will still be shocked if their album sells well! i see entering like 15-20 and then falling week on week!

Yeah, that is worrying, and it's also where most of the profit/revenue in an act is generated.

A band can have a string of top 10's with a few number ones added into the mix, but for a pop band i.e. Blazing Squad, it won't definetly mean your albums will sell.

God knows why :puke2:

The album is selling, that's all that matters, anyone who thinks the singles chart is the be-all-and-end-all of an artists career is talking out of their *BEEP!*.

agreed

:D :D :D

They'll be around for a while yet!.

trust me, I would laugh at a 3-16-28 drop for any single by any band, even if it was my favourite song of all time...this is just a ridiculous chart run which proves that the song should have never been so high in the first place...

I never said anything about their album, a one place drop is nothing to be embarassed about when Keane's eagerly anticipated album is out this week

Definetly, I laughed so much at all those Mcfly drops!. A number one with a short chart span is laughable, I will excuse the Manic's 2000 number one tho, cos that was limited edition, and even had a longer chart run than "Baby's Coming Back", and that wasn't limited!lol!. Let's not forget that a few of the Elvis re-issues did better!, and Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" sold more than that McFly single in 2007, without going top 100!.

But it's prolly cos Oasis fans are not dedicated single buyers anymore, or that not many people download them, and this is their first single since the 2007 rule change, which has allowed downloads to dominate the market.

Rob, I know you dislike the Saturdays (understatement there), and they are over bummed here, but Up is a brilliant track - a very slick pop song as good as, if not better than Girls Aloud and The Sugababes at the mo. At least recognise a good song when you hear it, regardless of the act :P

Give me the Sundays over the Sugababes any day!!! :D :D :D.
