Posted October 21, 200816 yr SINGLES 20th Oct Girls Aloud - The Promise Obviously #01 for at least two weeks I would've thought now. [#01] 27th Oct Razorlight – Wire To Wire They won't go #01 but a definite Top 3 hit given their position on iTunes and their midweek position. [#02] 3rd Nov Beyonce – If I Were A Boy Seems to be pretty much everywhere at the moment, high air/videoplay. It won't go #01 but I think it'll have a similar chart run to 'Irreplaceable' - go Top 5 and stick around forever. [#05] Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008 Potential Top 5 hit? Continuing to rise on iTunes very fast and that's without barely any promotion too. [#04] Kanye West – Love Lockdown Will peak on downloads I think but still have a very steady chart run. [#06] Leona Lewis – Forgive Me I think she's got #01 in the bag personally, the song seems to be everywhere atm and she has a strong fanbase. [#01] 10th Nov Alesha Dixon - The Boy Does Nothing Will do alot better tha people expect I think, it's released on a relatively quiet week too so I think it could be a big Top 5 hit! [#04] Lemar – If She Knew I'm unsure on this one, it is a strong comeback from him but it could definitely go either way. I'm guessing low Top 10 at the moment, especially if 'It Ain't Easy' could. [#08] 17th Nov Akon – Right Now (Na Na Na) He always sells well on singles and I shouldn't think this'll be much different. It won't be a huge #01 like 'Smack That' was but it should be a comfortable Top 10 at the least. [#06] Chris Brown – Superhuman Seems to be riding off the success of 'No Air' a bit so it should do well just on the back of that I think. Continuing to rise on iTunes too. [#08] 24th Nov Britney Spears – Womanizer This seems to have more '#01 potential' feel about it than 'Gimme More' did especially with the X Factor performance and the much better video. Their doesn't seem to be too much to stop it either except Take That. [#01] Christian Falk feat Robyn – Dream On People seem to be raving about this and I suppose it is quite like 'With Every Heartbeat'. I can't see it being too big myself but who knows? [#09] Katy Perry – Hot N Cold It'll have a similar chart run to 'Don't Stop The Music' and 'Disturbia' I think. It'll obviously peak on downloads and go Top 5 if not Top 3. [#04] Take That – Greatest Day Well it's their lead single so obviously it's going to do well, it hasn't had such positive reviews about it that 'Rule The World' and 'Patience' both had though. It'll go #02 I think. [#02] T.I. feat Rihanna – Live Your Life Potentially a huge chav anthem especially as it's gone #01 in the US and is already getting Radio 1 support. Top 3 is in the bag I think. [#03] 1st Dec Pussycat Dolls – I Hate This Part MUCH better than 'When I Grow Up' in my opinion. Has a similar vibe to 'Stickwitu' as well I think, it won't be as big as either but it should go Top 10 at the least. [#06] Do you agree? Or do you think there are some too high/too low predicted? And make your own predictions etc.
October 21, 200816 yr November is looking really exciting actually :o Even though I don't like a lot of the songs 0 looks like it will be huge. I\'ll have a go in a moment :)
October 21, 200816 yr 20th OBVz the Aloud with 'The Promise' 27th Well if GA don't massively tail off next week I think they'll easily do it again and outsell Razorlight. Of course I have a horrible feeling that Help For Heroes trash is going to sell bucketloads but we can always pray a national TV meltdown occurs before Saturday night so nobody can watch The c**p Factor 3rd Leona easily. No doubt about it. The song is massive everywhere you look right now. I hope that Guru Josh peaks on downloads and runs out of steam but I can see it being in the 6-10 region and possibly top 5. Beyonce could possibly sneak top 5 but the song is very weak and not something I can see being huge personally. I'd say the same for Christina Aguilera, even though I really like her record. I agree with you Jack about Kanye West though. Will probably outpeak itself on downloads before this week and not be much of a threat. 10th Hmm I rerally hate both Lemar and Alesha's songs but Lemar should manage top 10/15 dependent on how well he does on downloads. Alesha could go either way but personally if it makes top 5 over 'Lipstick' my faith in the public will slip further. 17th You forgot The Killers and Duffy! :o Surely both will make the top 3! I'd love for 'Human' to be no1. Gives me shivers <3 Duffy is an overated clam but this is a new song I think? So no doubt it'll be a huge hit. Akon possibly will be top 5 and I think Chris Brown has enough fans to land somewhere in the top 15. I think the downloads will have run out of steam by this week though... 24th Well I'd LOVE Katy Perry to be no1 but it won't happen. I'd expect 5 or 6 for her though she could very well have reached this point already... I do think the Rihanna/T.I thing is going to be the next monster chav anthem. It could surprise everybody and make the top 3. Britney pfft. She'll be arseraped to death on here but I think she'll get a no2 at best. Love the song - the chorus is so catchy but the verses just make me want to cringe. She sounds like a constipated robot and the song doesn't flow at all. Take That will have no1 in the bag. Take That will probably stay no1 until Christmas I'd have thought!
October 21, 200816 yr I think most of your predictions are spot on. I'm not so sure Lemar, Akon, Chris Brown and PCD will do quite as well as you've predicted though. I feel that Lemar may have a top 20 hit rather than top 10 or it could flop completely. I'm surprised that Akon has made the top 50 already considering it's doing so poorly on iTunes, I think high top 30 or low top 20 is where it's headed, though I'd like it to be bigger as it's his best single imo. 'Superhuman' could narrowly miss the top 10 I think, but it'd be good if it made it. I think 'I Hate This Part' will only just scrape the top 10 to become their lowest charting single. I think the only songs missing from this list are Dido, Duffy and Killers with their returning singles. They are probably top 5/10 hits waiting to be released. (though I'm hoping Dido has an Anastacia-like return tbh -_-)

Same for Xtina.

October 21, 200816 yr I suspect that given the cause Help For Heroes is going to be No1 until the winner of the X Factor gets his or her customary No1. Hopefully I’ll be wrong but I can see this being the biggest seller of 2008 by a MILE, could even flirt with the million-mark imo. Leona Lewis, Killers and Take That could be strong No1 contenders and 2008 has proved to be a year of surprises so a song under the radar could surprise us like Melua/Cassidy last year.
October 21, 200816 yr I think Alesha could be heading for #2 with her single (I would have said #1, but Help For Heroes will almost certainly be in the way).
October 21, 200816 yr Is that why there's no guest on this weeks song? Coz all final 12 will be performing 'Hero'?
October 21, 200816 yr Author X Tina is premiereing in about 5 or 6 days I think  She's left it a bit late hasn't she :P
October 21, 200816 yr the only song I see going to No.1 for CERTAIN before xmas is Womanizer (and The Promise obviously) other possibilities are Help For Heroes, The Killers, Leona Lewis, Take That, T.I. feat Rihanna, Duffy and Alesha (maybe not, but I expect top 5) I can't guage how Dido will do at all...part of me can imagine it flying up iTunes, but it's so weak that another part of me can imagine it going nowhere at all...it will certainly be interesting to see how it does

October 21, 200816 yr Don't know why most people think Britney will be No.1 as I think Womanizer will be beaten by Take That. Edited October 21, 200816 yr by Crazy Chris
October 21, 200816 yr She is out 2 weeks prior to physical release so she will more than likely be number 1 and we will have to see if Take That challenge her or not. Who knows...
