For me its a very solid album. Except for the last two songs, not bothered about them at all :P LOL. But I do think it is their best album yet. Hopefully 'The Loving Kind' will be released next followed by 'Rolling Back The Rivers In Time'. Both incredibly catchy and stuck in my head :D

The Promise 10/10 - when I first heard this I was so worried, my intial reaction was that it was c**p, but I seriously adore it now and Sarah is absolutley excellent on it, the video is great too!

 

The Loving Kind 10/10 - Well I knew I'd love this from when I heard the clip! utter brilliance. Hope this is a single!

 

Rolling Back The Rivers In Time 10/10 - This was the most initial song that hit me, the intro is pure brilliant, and I absolutley love Nicolas first line! this would be my choice for 2nd single!

 

Love Is The Key 8/10 - Love the talky bits best in this song, still got some growing to do I think though..

 

Turn To Stone 7.5/10 - Wasn't keen on this at first, but its growing...

 

Untouchable 10/10 - When I heard the length I thought god how can they make it great but I love it, again I love Nicolas parts! haha

 

Fix Me Up 7/10 - My lowest rating of the songs on the album, but Its definatley growing I thought it was terrible at first but since playing on the CD its sounds so much better

 

Love Is Pain 9.5/10 - Love this! can see this becoming a fave in time.

 

Miss You Bow Wow 9.5/10 - So god damn catchy! the chorus is great!

 

Revolution in the Head 10/10 - This is immense, I love Nadine in this song!

 

Live In The Country 8.5/10 - Excellent, only reason this doesn't have a higher rating is I think its a bit repetitive

 

We Wanna Party 7.5/10 - Nice song, but nothing amazing, most poppy out of them all I think, but nothing unique.

Overall this is one hell of an album, TU is still my fave from them but obvs I had a year to listen to that one, I've got to say I'm loving the lots of Nicola in this, and I think theres alot of variety in the album, I think its there most daring album so far too! hope it goes top 3 on Sunday!

'The Promise' - Sounds so much more 'full' with the intro and outro. Love this so much more than i did at the beginning. 9/10

'The Loving Kind' - This has to be one of the most beautiful pieces i've ever heard from anyone, nevermind GA. It is truly pheonomonal - has to be the next single. 10/10

'Rolling Back The Rivers In Time' - Nice... i can see the similarities to CSF, but this is better IMO - more sing-a-longy. 8/10

'Love Is The Key' - Lovely intro, its so typical (but no so) of GA. Kim really suits this, so does Nadine. They should of kept it to Kim and Nic on the verse's, Cheryl doesnt sound too nice. The chorus is very simple but very scrumptious! Love the ending! 7.5/10

'Turn To Stone' - Nice vocals/whispers at the start. Loving Kim on this, although it drags a little. 7/10

'Untouchable' - Lovely. Nadine and Nic own this, love the last chorus where all the girls join in. Love the arrangement too. 8.5/10

'Fix Me Up' - Fantastic vocals from Sarah. Love the vocoder. Love the ending with all the girls, reminds me of WWTNS - the rest is so retro its amazing! 8/10

'Love Is Pain' - I think all the girls sound incredible on this, its fab and sounds like PSB's even more than 'The Loving Kind' does! 8.5/10

'Mis You Bow Wow' - Its got a lovely hook and i have a feeling this is a grower. Nice though, i love the break-downs. 7/10

'Revolution In The Head' - Lovely touches to the track, especially the weird stutters! The chorus with its synth is amazing! I love the second part of the chorus most. NIIIIICE! 8.5/10

'Live In The Country' I really like this! Love Kims part near the middle. Nice D+B and nice guitar at the end. Catchy! 7.5/10

'We Wanna Party' - This is really good, i love it! Quite anthemic. Really, really suits the girl. 8/10

well for me apart from the promise the stand out tracks are

loving kind,

love is the key,

love is pain,

revolution in the head

live in the country and

 

 

we wanna party been my faveourite

 

turn to stone and untouchable are the waekest tracks for me at the moment

 

at the moment i think tangled up is a better album but i have to give this album more time

If you didn't like RBTRIT first, listen to it again and agian... it is a grower, TRUST me :lol: :wub:

as i said i have to listen to the album more but i will pay special attention to rolling back the rivers in time when listening!!

No doubt i'll get lynched for not orgasming over this album but here we go. and yes i did have an open mind when i did this.

 

The Promise - Vile, dull and uninspiring. And far too f***ing long Could be sung by any random and still not do anything for me. (I would even hate this song if SB sang it.) - 0/10

 

The Loving Kind - I don't quite get the major love for this song. The backing track is immense, but the highly repetitive chorus at the end makes it seem far longer than it actually is. Not amazing, but quite adequate. - 6.5/10

 

Rolling Back The Rivers In Time - Quite like the start of this track ^_^ the instrumental break is too long imo and doesn't really add anything to the song. Surprisingly the vocals are tight and rather good (Nice one Brian) and i actually quite like this track. The effects on the middle 8 are pretty awesome. Am i right in thinking that Cheryl sings that bit? - 10/10

 

Love Is The Key - Another decent backing track, Xenomania are pretty good at that. It's pretty good actually, quite like the feeling of this track. Reminds me of a Gabriella Cilmi track tho or actually come to think of it two, The backing track is a slowed down DWGTB and i can quite put my finger on the lyrics atm. - 8/10

 

Turn To Stone :mellow: WTF is with the intro. The chorus is actually horrid and far far too high pitched. The verses save it from a 0. Not a fan of its length - 4/10
