November 3, 200816 yr Kid Rock #1 and Nickelback in the top 10 twice. No wonder no one likes Rock.
November 3, 200816 yr Kid Rock #1 and Nickelback in the top 10 twice. No wonder no one likes Rock.  All of which aren't even Top 40 in official chart anymore
November 3, 200816 yr What's the methodology of this chart? Seems really random. And how do you determine what is rock as opposed to alternative/indie?
November 3, 200816 yr What's the methodology of this chart? Seems really random. And how do you determine what is rock as opposed to alternative/indie? It's the official Rock charts compiled by the OCC http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rocksingles.shtml http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/rockalbums.shtml
November 3, 200816 yr This is one chart I don't usually bother with, it just has some obscure tracks in it.
November 3, 200816 yr Author Maybe i wont bother posting again then  they do seem quite random though, just thought i'd see what people thought.
November 3, 200816 yr Gallows at #15? And Avenged Sevenfold pretty much everywhere! R-A-N-D-O-M Interesting though! :o
November 3, 200816 yr Why are Iron Maiden at #11, rising from #33 with a single released nearly 2 years ago and was basically a single for fans? And Meat Loaf, from 2006. And looking at the dance chart: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/dancesingles.shtml Eric Prydz leaps back to #1 from 8. Superflop single David Guetta- Tommorow Can Wait debuts at #3, Armand Van Helden reaches #6 with a release i thought was cancelled :o . Destination Calabria re-enters at #14  . X Press 2's 6 year old song Lazy is at #16, at #5 (!) last week  . Robin S was at #14 last week with Show Me Love from the early 90's! Shapeshifters FLOP completely with their new one, Chime at #27 (though i didn't know it was going to be released). Guru Josh enters with the 2008 version of Infinity, one of the biggest dance tracks around at just #31 (this has also entered the indie chart) . And a ton of Chase & Status is around. These specialist charts are the most inaccurate charts ever  Oh and the download chart: :P http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/downloads.shtml
November 3, 200816 yr If I remember right, the dance chart is based on sales of 12" singles only. The download chart is actually pretty interesting though. It seems to be lst weeks, but it's funny that Leon beat Geraldine on downloads!
November 3, 200816 yr Kid Rock #1 and Nickelback in the top 10 twice. No wonder no one likes Rock. You're an idiot. If no-one liked rock, then why have albums from Kings Of Leon, AC/DC and Metallica all gone to No. 1 in the past year? Plus, Chinese Democracy is due for release on November 23rd. Guaranteed the release of that album will generate HUGE amounts of interest in rock again. This is one chart I don't usually bother with, it just has some obscure tracks in it. Yup, especially that old album chart...I mean, it only has the highest-selling debut album of all-time and the biggest selling album by any band ever on it. Talk about obscurity, eh! ¬_¬ Edited November 3, 200816 yr by ags_rule
November 3, 200816 yr Author You're an idiot. If no-one liked rock, then why have albums from Kings Of Leon, AC/DC and Metallica all gone to No. 1 in the past year? Guaranteed the release of that album will generate HUGE amounts of interest in rock again. you make a good point. except Chinese Democracy will be poop, but feel free to chat about it here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72804 and talk about other acts such as AC/DC and Metallica in the Punk Rock and Metal forum
