November 18, 200915 yr Author I reckon FSR Rontvia has 4 or 5 very distinct 'sounds', which I hop between, some of which crossover singer/songwriter female pop - Delta Goodrem, Natasha Bedingfield, Sara Bareilles, Pixie, Emiliana Torrini, Hafdis Huld trashy pop - Untouched, Mira Craig, Anna Abreu pop/electro - Sound of Arrows, Uh Huh Her, Beautiful Small Machines dance/electro - Thermostatic, Blank feat Young Ivy, Example, Fabio Lendrum scandipop - Sibel, Andreas Johnson, Maria & Mira, Sanna Nielsen, Vincent...some of those featuing in other categories...
November 18, 200915 yr Well... I try and stay away from Poppy tracks, I like using the Indie/Alternative music genre quite a bit, this is my area of music, with the odd dance track thrown in the mix, aka White Lies, with Paul Van Dyk collaborating with Jennifer Sutta. I don't think I have a distinct sound as I try other possible avenues if I can and bring fresh music to share with others.
November 18, 200915 yr My sound has gone from indie rock to indie pop to alternative pop, to put it vaguely. I really haven't ventured from there at all really, though my music taste isn't *that* samey, especially when it comes to heavier things, i promise.
November 18, 200915 yr RedOne sound lol. despite me sending only 2 RedOnes, still I gave 100% support to others who have sent Redone productions...Flypside came in my mind  that was so Botanikhan entry.
November 18, 200915 yr you should have sent Sean Kingston - Fire Burning Addy  I thought about that but wasn't sure at the time how people would receive him after all the hate he got for Beautiful Girl. I so should sent all RedOnes songs on Monster
November 18, 200915 yr Author Beautiful Girl is one of my least favourite songs of all time Fire Burning reached the top ten of my chart and was one of the ANTHEMS of my summer holiday  I think people judge more on the song than the artist, particularly in this 'song' contest!

TRUE. but in situations when you don't know what you're going to send, and if one person tells you 'Sean Kingston ughhh' is enough not to send it
November 18, 200915 yr Author I put off listening to Fire Burning for aaaaages as I just assumed it would be awful I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised when I heard it
November 18, 200915 yr I put off listening to Fire Burning for aaaaages as I just assumed it would be awful I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised when I heard it  as I did Robots In Love in original contest  I apologize but I already paid my dues in TBO:Final :P Edited November 18, 200915 yr by Addy!
November 18, 200915 yr Fire burning is pretty $h!tty. SK is beyond vile, and is just about bearable on Miss Everything
November 18, 200915 yr Numayania = the cheesier the better :kink: But I think I'm going for something altogether more classy this time
November 19, 200915 yr Fempop all the wayThinking about it, Ashton's sound is very Trashy-electo-fem-pop with the occasional Purepop or Singer/Songwriter slant. Which is why i never sent the Crookers or World Go Round. They just weren't Ashton.

Which is why i never sent the Crookers or World Go Round. They just weren't Ashton. the Rontvian 'trashy pop' category featuring Anna, Untouched and Mira Craig should have been renamed 'Ashton-esque entries' there's a lot of crossover between FSR Rontvia/Ashtonise entries and artists which is why I think we nearly always vote for each other's songs...

The 'trashy pop' really should be named 'Ashton-esque' :heehee: There are similarities in sound with most of our entries. I'd say Kongolo, MAGIC, Blank and Example were about as far away from the Ashtonise sound you could get. Most of your other entries would slot quite nicely into the Ashton sound. I couldn't see Rontvia sending Give Me Sexy

I couldn't see Rontvia sending Give Me Sexy  this is all very true, I do branch out into oddities sometimes, Example and Blank being about as leftfield as it probably gets for Rontvia  yeah, I definitely wouldn't have sent Give Me Sexy, might have given off the wrong impression :kink: musically, I've never disliked any of your entries...some of them didn't get points for various reasons - Lily was my least favourite song on the album, and rather cheap...the Sugababes X incident was a disaster...love the song but not in that live version...everything else has been somewhere between very good and sensational
