December 18, 200816 yr She could do by the end of the week. It was only about 32 in the Friday mids last week. She has time.
December 18, 200816 yr As Johnjo said there's still next week to peak and this is more of an original song than a xmas song so it's bound to stick around a bit imo.
December 18, 200816 yr That's true, it's not strictly a Christmas song, just a winter one. It mentions Christmas, but New Year too...
December 18, 200816 yr I obviously wont stick around for a lot but hopefully should stay on for a week or so after christmas.
December 19, 200816 yr it'll drop like a stone in the new year, i just want it to progress steadily down the chart rather than do a Catfights and Spotlights (Formerly known as the Real Girl)
December 20, 200816 yr :o never saw that coming! hope people see it on the front page and download it!
December 20, 200816 yr Fantastic of course, after seeing it struggle for top 40 for so long i didnt think top 10 was possible.
December 22, 200816 yr Well MY GOD. It turns out that this is bloody fabulous! Loving it! I'm always late catching on. :heehee:
December 28, 200816 yr Gabriella Cilmi is probably the worst thing to come out of 08. She's talentless, makes god awful music, and on top of all of these things has a rude and horrible personality. I hope she disappears as soon as possible.
December 28, 200816 yr Well that is unfortunate for you because she's already mentioned her 'mystery' second album is going to be much more alternative and country than popish blues of Lessons To Be Learned. Ah she's my artist of the year, her songwriting singing live performances, composure, talent at such a young age is completely flawless imo. The year has been completely electro pop girl groupish, Gabriella kept varied with her 'out of fashion' style and suprisingly got a hit single and hit album out of it. Ironically just saw Sanctuary on mtv
December 28, 200816 yr I don't see how that's unfortunate for me? I don't like something merely for the sake of it being 'alternative' and whatnot. The unfortunate thing is that music as horrible as this is available and popular. LOL 'out of fashion'? This year has been dominated by the likes of Duffy and Adele. Then came Gabriella. She's simply a trend follower and will (hopefully) fade away deservedly. She would not exist had Amy Winehouse not gained commercial success. A tool of the industry. Electro dominated year? No, that's next year sorryz. Have you seen her on Nevermind the Buzzcocks? Rude and dumb as anything.  Brainless music from a brainless woman imo.
December 28, 200816 yr I completely disagree, I think her voice is excellent and she sounds very mature for her age considering that she is 17, 16 when she released Sweet About Me I can't comment on her personality as I don't recall actually seeing any interviews/shows with her speaking, but from watching live vocal performances of her, she seems incredibly talented True, without Amy there would be no Gabriella, but those other acts that you mentioned wouldn't have been signed and similar acts like Sharleen Spiteri and Maria Haukaas Storeng would have had a different sound completely. But her album is far from '60's soul pastiche'. There are pure pop moments like Don't Want To Go To Bed Now and Save The Lies, only really a few songs are anything remotely like Duffy/Adele... I hope that she goes on to have more success in the future (even though I can't see it happening) because I believe that she has a lot of potential
