Emma should try to do 80's disco sound she'd really slay

This is a really great idea, she would do really well with that sound!

Someone has mentioned that she does have a 360degress deal with BMG, so that would include the live gigs she did with Disney and Albert Hall, both of which probably came with a hefty price as usually those companies/venues pay the artist directly rather than it being reliant on ticket sales income.

Back in Life in Mono times, it was stated that she would get £3000 for each radio short promo performance (say, for instance, her acoustic gigs on BBC Radio 2 last year, stuff like that). So that gives you an idea of what type of money she would get for something much bigger like Disney.

So I would say she probably made it up for the cost of it with other endorsements such as that and it would signal as to how she got those gigs, both of which were probably a bit too high for her as a solo artist: the power of a record lable, ah!

Ah I see, that actually makes a lot of sense. I mean she would pull in more money than the likes of Louise, Martine McCutcheon etc who had similar success with their albums just because of her Spice Girls tag alone. I enquired as to booking Melanie C for my wedding (just out of interest rather than thinking I’d be able to afford it haha) and it was £60,000 an hour rate and depending on where it was taking place a fee for transportation so I guess that gives an idea of fee for longer appearances...

I hope she will release singles. I want 'So Long' & Taking Easy' so badly.

Emma will be on Shopping with Keith Lemon tonight, ITV2 at 10pm:

Roman Kemp & Emma Bunton Keith has a fun day out at an amusement park with TV and radio presenter Roman Kemp and goes for a walk in the woods and a pint with Spice Girl Emma Bunton

'What Took You So Long' is my favourite solo single by Emma Bunton.

A great choice *.* I can never firmly decide whether my favourite is What Took You So Long or Maybe

Catching up with Strictly Christmas special. No Bunton sadly.
I know she shouldn't jump on te bandwagon but i would love to hear Emma go for a 80s/dance sound if she were to release new music. Only 1 cover allowed this time miss Bunton :arrr:

NO covers allowed (unless it's as amazing as I wish I could have loved you more, in which case I will relent).

I'd be interested to see Emma take on an 80's dance sound too I think it would suit her fabulously. Some of the 80's fashion style too ala her Free Me 60's style would look fabulous on her

ALL OF THIS :cheer:

Emma would suit that style really well indeed and it should be a good decade for her to explore, after the 60s (free Me) and 70s (Life in Mono) suited her so well  It feels like a natural progression and I think if she had found enough success with LIM at the time, it surely would be where her music would lead to. IMAGINE if we had an 80s dance album from La Bunton back in 2008

Also, I Wish I Could Have Loved You More is the best (and only great) cover on My Happy Place :teresa:

Agree on all of this. But we can have that album in 2021 too

For sure! Now just imagine that Bunton has been recording from her own home during all these year's various lockdowns?! :yahoo: Wouldnt that be amazing?

Of course, it will never happen cos knowing Bunton she has been only sitting about in her living room and going for walks in the woods (good for her), but it would be quite nice lol

If only she surprised us with new music next year i would take that over new Spice music :arrr:

As much as it pains me to say this, I would be more confident in a Bunton new album than a Spice one, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want both! And I would think that both would be great actually.

The Spice Girls have never released a bad album. Like, literally all 3 of their albums are excellent albums, great quality and well thought out. The only that makes me a bit worried is the time that has passed since they released music and the last time they did it wasnt very good. But I think if they make it more modern sounding, they could do really well!

IMAGINE 2021 we would get:

New Bunton music with an 80s style

New Spice Girls music with a modern take on pop and disco (like imagine somewhere between Never Give Up On The Good Times and Little Mix's Break Up Song)

That would be SO perfect :w00t:

Emma will probably release a cover of You Spin Me before new Spice Girls music happens x

A new Emma album 80’s inspired and a new Spice album !!!

WOMAN is also going to be released and Free Your Love.

Double A side released on the new xmas EP to help streaming numbers.

Really GET OVER IT <_<

Really GET OVER IT <_<

It's actually quite hilarious watching someone really not getting it, even though it has been layed down really clearly and thoughfully for them all across the forum, and them making fun of it like this as if they are the ones in the right.

It's too funny to watch

And also maybe a classic representation as to why Spice releases dont really get much streams: overall their fanbase still doesnt really know or understand how streaming works at all! We all love a CD player but God damn, there is a whole new world out there lol

Whats funny is your confident in an 80’s inspired Emma album.
