If real talent contests can have spin-off shows, why can't spoof ones? Hosted by Ben Shephard, this follow-up to Peter Kay's Britain's Got the Pop Factor... includes interviews with winning contestant Geraldine McQueen, who'll be performing her festive release, 'Once Upon a Christmas Song'
Ben Shephard hosts this follow-up to Peter Kay's X Factor spoof, Britain's Got the Pop Factor, counting down the best performances and chatting to winner Geraldine McQueen

Britain's Got The Pop Factor was one of the best things I've seen in a while so really looking forward to this :D

'Geraldine' is going to be on the RVP next Wednesday night too don't forget.

Norma

I can't wait.

Geraldine is also a guest on the Paul O'Grady show next week.

Paul has hinted he might be unable to host that day's show but he knows an "old friend who has not been on TV for quite some time" who might be able to step in.

Putting 2 + 2 together.....

Paul has said he will never ever go back to doing Lily though?

And why does the title of this thread say 2009?

:w00t: So looking forward to this! Would love Geraldine to keep the X-Factor winner off the #1 spot now as it is getting rather boring now having a reality show winner get to the top spot every Christmas!

ooops

 'Fourskin'

And the voice-over man soundalike was really good! :o

I was a little bit disappointed with this show tonight! Too much Geraldine! I'd have liked to have seen more of the midgets & donkeys and the guy with the vocoder voice! The star of the whole thing was Lionel Blair (frightening and hilarious at the same time). But really, apart from the last 10 minutes ... I just didn't think it was very good ... and a huge let-down from the original 'Britain's Got the Pop Factor, etc, etc'.

Norma

^^ It definitely wasn't nearly as good as the first show :(

Shame quite a lot of it was just repeated bits though - would've been good to see some new stuff

Was the first time I'd heard the Christmas song though - it's great!

The last few minutes were great though ... the turning on of the lights at Stella McCartney's shop and Sir Paul making a guest appearance. Not surprisingly I did laugh at the naughty questions asked of Take That, but all in all - not enough to fill an hour's program.

Deffo not as good as the first one. Too much archive footage.

Would have been better if they'd parodied the Celebrity lifestyle abit more. Shown Geraldine's family selling their stories, kiss and tells, a contorversy a la Fern Britton's Gastric Band.

If only....

When will someone tell Peter Kay that he's actually not funny.

I don't get this Geraldine-nonsense. I think as a character, she's really poor, nothing funny or unique about him/her.

Although it was cool how my town got a mention in tonight's programme. :heehee:

I thought it was really really funny. Not as much as the first one, because that was so shocking and blatant. But it was great to see Geraldine again and the Ben Sherpherd bits were hilariously random. Pretty sure the single will be number 3 by Sunday, although I don't think it'll overtake Jeff.
Was well funny when that R Wayne was going I know i know i know i know for ages and someone shouted from the audience we know you know and then swore at him or something

That was funny! I did like the bit where Geraldine asked Take That 'so then, which one of you boys would like to ride me like a donkey?'

But without a doubt the funniest bits where those provided by Lionel Blair! I can't stand the man ... but when Guy Ritchie is looking for someone to play a London 'mafioso' type gangland type ... someone tell him to call Lionel! The guy was frightening!

Norma

Geraldine's version of "Where Is The Love" is still so funny, I was singing a long to that Xmas song as well, it wont leave my head

I feel pathetic to admit the ONLY bit that made me laugh, hard, was

when Be Shepherd was sitting on that ridiculously high wall.

Ohhhdeaaar haha.
