Hey Guy's! Thanks for reading my Top 30 albums countdown. Seeing as there are no othere albums out by the end of the year that I will be interested in, I may aswell start now. I will update this as often as possible! Comments are appreciated, but please remember these are my personal opinions. ^_^ Well I hope you like at least SOME of my countdown. If not... Never mind

Well I'm going to start now! ^_^

30: Scooter - Jumping All Over the World

Well kicking off the countdown, is an album from a trio, who surprisingly kicked Madonna's 'Hard Candy' off the top of the number 1 spot back in May. Scooter are a Techno/Euro/Chav dance trio. They did a very clever thing by including a "Greatest Hits" sorta disc as a 2nd Disc and it obviously worked. They have currently sold well over 200,000 copies of this album in the UK alone, which is very impressive for a dance act!

Favourite Tracks: 'And No Matches', 'I'm Lonely', 'Nessaja' & 'Ramp! (The Logical Song)'
Least Favourites: 'Marian (Version)', 'How Much Is The Fish?' & 'Rebel Yell'

29: Melee - Devil's & Angel's

http://images.play.com/covers/5408737x.jpg

Next up we have a virtually unknown four piece, whose album is actually, surprisingly good. Melee are best known for their very minor hit 'Built to Last', which sounds like it could have been the theme to an American TV show. It's a song that was criminally under-rated this year, and deserved to chart better than it had done. They're basically a watered down version of 'The Script'.

Favourite Tracks: 'Built to Last' & 'Rhythm of Rain'
Least Favourites: 'Immitation' & 'You Got'

Coming up next, is a band that have pleasently surprised and shocked me. Ever since 'Four Kicks' I was never interested in them. That was until they unleashed the brilliant 'Sex on Fire', which admitedly, took it's time to grow on me, but I absoloutely adore it now, and 'Use Somebody' is quite possibly in my Top 10 singles of the year. It truly is fantastic, although that took time to grow on me too, it grew on me quicker than 'Sex on Fire' did. however this album is kinda disappointing, but surprise, surprise, it is actually growing on me, and I've even asked for this album for my christmas present, after having a copy of it for the past 2 months or so.

Favourite Tracks: 'Sex on Fire' & 'Use Somebody'
Least Favourites: 'Revelry', '17' & 'I Want You'

27: Darren Styles - Skydivin'

http://images.play.com/covers/5479431x.jpg

Continuing the unexpected success of the Dance genre this year, is Darren Styles, who has been on the underground dance scene for quite a while now. He released his debut album 'Skydivin'' earlier this year. He got a very surprising Top 5 hit with this album, and it had just as surprising staying power. The album includes the huge dance anthem 'Save Me' and his collaborated hit with Ultrabeat 'Sure feels good' and his newest single 'Girls Like You'

Favourite Tracks: 'Come Running', 'Save Me', 'Right By Your Side', 'Sure Feels Good' & 'Paradise & Dreams'
Least Favourites: 'Jealous', 'Just Easy', 'I Need You' & 'Feel Love (Nitelight)'

26: Santogold - Santogold

http://images.play.com/covers/4086213x.jpg

Now up is Santi, santo, Santogold or whatever you call her. Her debut album, is a very good debut and I was impressed. After the pheonomenal 'L.E.S Artistes' charted Top 40, I had very high hopes for this lady. It's just a real shame she hasn't been able to match up to the chart success that 'LA' had. She deserved alot more this year, chart wise. She has some very good songs on here that deserve to do well.

Favourite Tracks: 'L.E.S Artistes' & 'Creator'
Least Favourites: 'Anne', 'Shove It' & 'My Superman'

25: Sara Bareilles - Little Voice

http://images.play.com/covers/5442770x.jpg

At number 25 is the rather stunning debut album from Sara Bareilles. She burst onto the scene with the fantastic single 'Love Song' which was a massive hit. Despite the single being massive and the album going Top 10, the album still managed to become somewhat of a flop for her, and very undeserved too. She is super-talented and the album isn't as ballad-heavy as I originally thought it would be.

Favourite Tracks: 'Love Song', 'City' & 'Gravity'
Least Favourites: 'Vegas' & 'Many the Miles'

24: Scouting For Girls - Scouting For Girls

http://images.play.com/covers/3437036x.jpg

Up next we have an album which was released back in 2007, by a band who is despised here on Buzzjack. Scouting For Girls released this album back in September 2007. The reason as to why it is in my 2008 chart, is because it became massively popular at the very start of the year where it finally reached Number 1. It was also the first time I had heard the album, and I fell in love, INSTANTLY! i am one of a few people who actually likes the band.

Favourite Tracks: 'Heartbeat', 'Mountains of Navaho' & 'James Bond'
Least Favourites: 'She's So Lovely'

23: Chris Brown - Exclusive (The Forever Edition)

http://images.play.com/covers/5573013x.jpg

Now, we have yet another album which was released in 2007, but was one of many Re-releases in 2008. the difference between the Re-release and Original for Chris Brown, is the fact that he was one of a few who actually benefitted from the re-issue. The original flopped and we thought it looked like he'd given up on this era, until he released the fantastic 'With You' which instantly became a fave, with Chris Brown fans and Non-fans alike. He has been on a roll since, where he released 'Forever' which was a very popular Dance'n'B hit! He then re-released 'Kiss, Kiss' whilst he was having chart success with Jordin as 'No Air' became a massive hit. He then released my personal favourite 'Superhuman' which became a moderate hit, but could have done better, had it not been released so close to 'No Air'.

Favourite Tracks: 'Take You Down', 'With You', 'Superhuman' & 'Forever'
Least Favourites: 'Hold Up', 'Nice' & 'Down'

22: Taio Cruz - Depature

http://images.play.com/covers/3594208x.jpg

Coming in at number 22, is the SUPER talented, Singer/Songwriter/Producer (It goes on) who is now in very popular demand since this fantastic debut. 'Departure' is a very strong album, from start to finish, it has everything, from: Pop to electro, RnB to Dance. He finally had a better taste of success as 'Come On Girl' reached the Top 5. He then followed it up with the infectious 'I Can Be' which he then came on to having a little less success with 'She's Like A Star'. The album however, did NOTHING and flopped badly in the charts. It was an undeserving flop.

Favourite Tracks: 'I Can Be', 'So Cold', 'Fly Away', 'Driving Me Crazy' & 'Come On Girl'
Least Favourites: 'I Don't Wanna Fall In Love' & 'Never Gonna Get Us'

21: Snow Patrol - A Hundred Million Suns

http://images.play.com/covers/6179236x.jpg

In at number 21, is the 4th (??) album from Snow Patrol. This is slightly under rated, but I can see why alot of people can see it as a disappointment, as it isn't a patch on their previous 2 albums 'Final Straw' & 'Eyes Open'. But I feel that it is quite strong in places, but when it's weak, it really is quite weak. However, this album has spawned 2 of my favourite Snow Patrol tracks ever, and they are enough for t to be this high in my album rundown of 2008!

Favourite Tracks: 'If There's a Rocket (Tie Me To It)' & 'Crack the Shutters'
Least Favourites: 'Lifeboats' & 'Golden Floor'
