For the second Big Brother running the anti-Big Brother internet campaign vote to sabotage the show (led by Ricky Gervais to get people to vote for Ulrika - because she has been a boring relatively normal housemate who has revealed little of the juicy gossip that she has which is why Channel 4 paid her a lot of money to appear on the show) has worked.

 

When you consider how they kept the sexist pig Coolio (who has already pre-signed to do an E4 Reality type of show) on the show when previous contestants have been chucked out for less & Terry Christian (who has been in talks to host a music entertainment show on Channel 4) both received very favourable coverage on the Big Brother Big Mouth satellite show because they were the chosen ones.

 

Hopefully Channel 4 & Endemol will get the message & put this awful show out of its misery. In the beginning Big Brother used to be good because the cameras told the story as events unfolded, but the producers over the years have ruined the show by trying to fix the show to get their chosen ones to win in a blatant fashion that Simon Cowell would be proud of.

 

Still I rarely watched this show, but I'm off to the bookies to collect my winnings ULRIKA-KA-KA-KA!

Ulrika was one of the best housemates this year. (Although, that's not saying much)

 

Verne, was BOOOORING! Ben was even worse than Verne. Coolio was VILE and DID Not deserve to reach Top 3 AT ALL. Terry, yeah he was a good housemate, but he did get annoying and I got sick of hearing his voice all the time.

 

But Overall, this years show has been quite boring and I hope they don't bring it back. I feel, thanks to the Jade/Shilpa thing, Celebs don't dare to do half as many things, in fear that it will ruin their "Fame Status" or whatever. It's pointless. After this years Big Brother, and then perhaps a Winner Big Brother - Where all the winners (Of the original series') are in one house for a few weeks (No longer than 3...) [i personally would love to see that as I've seen every Big Brother since it started] They should STOP for at least 5 years or so, then bring it back with a one-off (For Comic Relief or something) and then see where it goes from there.

Thing is though is that Ulrika wasnt the boring Rachel Rice type, if Ben had won then yes it could be said that a boring housemate won but he didnt ,Ulrika won.

 

Internet forums and polls dont represent the entire country. Most of the people who voted for her, probably arent the ones to vote in those things. Quite a few of my family for example who never tend to vote in things like CBB voted for Ulrika to win because they liked her before it and had only watched a few episodes.

For someone so anti-Big Brother he has an awful lot of time to spend on campaigns and as for picking the most boring housemate, he could have gone for Ben as he was much worse. Picking the highest paid and actually one of the best housemates to 'sabotage' the show is a bit of a ridiculous idea. Ben and Verne were extremely boring in general, Coolio was just awful and Terry didn't seem like winner material to me even though he was a nice bloke.

Oh LOL. I love al the 'conspiracy theories', yes people really can be bothered to spend their money on voting someone out they DON'T like?

It's simple, the people who DID like Ulrika voted for her and she won and deservedly so.

That's still not proof that anything strange is going on.

 

People may have supported Verne on online polls but if they don't actually vote in the main show what good is that? (and I'll bet many didn't bother)

 

I'd say many people thought he'd win anyway and didn't vote.

 

and besides you can't just assume that just because all the signs are pointing torwards someone winning that they'll actually win, there will always be upsets. I believe Ulrika won fair and square.

Hardly, seeing as Ulrika's contract was that if she won she would get paid DOUBLE, then her winning was clearly the last thing Endemol & especially Channel 4 wanted as they are heading further into the red with their expediture.

 

And as I keep having to post why Ricky Gervais is so against it.....

I've not watched since the first week to be fair, but i'm sure the reason Coolio and Terry got the most coverage was because they were the most interesting housemates? I've not watched since the first week so I can't comment, but they definitely were when I watched.

Well i have to say i was absolutely gobsmacked at Verne eliminated at 4TH Place :o :o :o. I was at least expecting 2nd or 3rd if not winning but 4th and behind Coolio WTF :angry: :blink: :blink: :o

 

Anyway congrats to Ulrika definently deserved it. She has put up with all this bad press and all this stick in the house, i have to say well done girl!

Well done to Terry too on 2nd place, also very deserved, great housemate and i agree with whoever said I don't see Terry as winner material, i agree. Thats exactly what i said when it was down to them 2 last night :D

They always are really. I can understand the mass booing of people like Alex from last year and Grace from a few years back but now it just seems everyone bar the lukcy few got booed to death.
