TYLA'S TOP 20 OF 08

Does this really need an intro? =/

20.RIHANNA - DISTURBIA

This single saved Rihanna for me, I liked all of her other singles off of Good Girl Gone Bad, but Take A Bow is quite possibly the worst piece of trash to ever bounce around on our radio waves. But this song is great, accompanied by an awesome video, Chris Brown's future babies mama makes a great kick off for my top 20 songs of 2008.

19.BLOC PARTY - MERCURY

This is the track that turned me on to Bloc Party...love their new stuff, but love their stuff before this even more. This song is great, and I really loved it on first listen...very different but instant at the same time, I love the EH EH EH's, haha. Not to mention the video makes me rofl...it was all in the little ball, it was kinda depressing. Yeah, I'm weird.

18.KANYE WEST - FLASHING LIGHTS

This is by far my favorite Kanye West track of all time, I'd say it is tied with Stronger. His last album was brilliant, alot better then his new one...just my opinion! The lyrics are funny yet genuine, the production is slick and laid back, but it still manages to catch your attention. Go back to this stuff Kanye, so much better then the autotune.

17-14 2morrow.

'Disturbia' and 'Flashing Lights'

'Flashing Lights' is so much better than any of his new stuff tbh.

17.DUFFY - MERCY

Duffy reminds me of what Amy Winehouse would be if she were prettier and wasn't always under the influence of alcohol and cocaine...even though Duffy kinda looks like a soccer mom at times, a hot one though ( :o ). Her voice is so great, and the song catches something I haven't heard since my parents generation. All hail the Duffy.
Duffy and Rihanna are the only ones I like so far...

16.DANITY KANE - DAMAGED

Why did they have to be owned by the prick known as Diddy? Their latest album was awesome, it mixed electro r&b and hip-hop so well that fans of any genre could enjoy atleast a couple of tracks off the album. Not to mention the lead single Damaged. Good stuff...too bad they disbanded this year. GO SOLO AUBREY.

14.MADONNA - MILES AWAY

This is the best Madonna track I have heard in effing ages. And it really is the gem hidden in a pile of $h!t known as, Hard Candy...seriously, the worst album of her career. The guitar in this is amaze, and the verses are just as magical as the chorus itself. "uncomfortable silence can be so loud" . Thank you for not totally putting yourself to shame Madge.

13.SAM SPARRO - BLACK & GOLD

I didn't hear this song until it actually flopped in the US, which is weird because I usually listen to music that was big in the UK, months before the US release because of BJ. This song is great, lyrics are genius...my favorite line of the year has to be "If vision is the only validaton, then most of my life isn't REAL". Not to mention I think Mr. Sparro is quite easy on the eyes...and by looking at his music video, I don't think he'd mind that at all.

Bloc Party! Mercury will be in my top 10 of the year definitely

Like Rihanna, Kanye, Sam Sparro and Natalie Portman's Shaved Head too -_-

Great so far!
