December 23, 200816 yr No Air is just  The other two arent bad i guess, just not my type of thing really
December 23, 200816 yr Author 07: Goldfrapp - A&E Chart Run: [5-1-2-4-6-8-10-10-13-18-20-24-30] 13 Weeks Next up is the stunning single from Goldfrapp. Like Kings of Leon, before this year, Goldfrapp were a band I actually detested. but this year I did a complete U-Turn. 'A&E' is quite possibly one of the most beautifully, haunting and Stunning singles you are likely to ever hear. Alison's vocals are so, breathtaking, and I am really glad this became my 2nd ever number 1 in my chart
December 23, 200816 yr Author 06: Rihanna - Take a Bow Chart Run: [14-10-4-3-3-1-4-3-5-6-4-7-8-10-11-13-13-14-16-13-16-16-19-22-24-26-28-31-33-37] 30 Weeks Just missing out on a Top 5 placing, is the stunning single from Rihanna. 'Take a Bow' is very Hit N Miss. You either 'Love It' or 'Hate It'. It has become my longest chart runner in my chart, spending a huge 30 weeks in my Top 40. It is by far, my favourite Rihanna single, and despite it spending 30 weeks in my chart, I am STILL not bored of it. I don't think I need to tell you guys, which category of 'Love It' or 'Hate It' i belong in. :kink:
December 23, 200816 yr Overated much <_< It was a nice enough song but i was very dissapointed and much prefered the previous era from them. And yes i know pretty much everyone else disagrees with me but hey nothing i can do about that. Take A Bow is also overated and did not deserve #1, especially when most of the original GGGB album was miles better.
December 23, 200816 yr Author Quick Recap of 10-6: 10: Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown - No Air 09: Kings of Leon - Use Somebody 08: The Killers - Human 07: Goldfrapp - A&E 06: Rihanna - Take a Bow I will continue the rest of the Top 5 now ^_^
December 23, 200816 yr Author 05: Alphabeat - Fascination Chart Run: [1-3-4-7-8-10-4-2-3-4-3-2-5-8-11-11-12-14-13-16-20-21-22-26-30] 25 Weeks Kicking off the Top 5, is IMO 2008's 'Grace Kelly'. It's one of the most happiest, catchiest songs of the year and possibly in a couple of years. This song is also very special in another way. It became my first EVER number 1 in my chart, I was so happy when it became a massive hit. Shame that their UK label has dropped them though, as I'm pretty sure they had at least a year longer than The Saturdays have :(
December 23, 200816 yr Author 04: OneRepublic - Say (All I Need) Chart Run: [3-2-1-3-3-4-4-5-1-9-12-11-14-19-22-21-22-24-27-31-32-37-40] 23 Weeks Number 4 sees the most undeserving flop of the year. 'Say (All I Need)' is really under-rated and I had really high hopes for this, but it really didn't help when Music channels and Radio were pretty much still playing 'Stop & Stare' every 15 minutes! It is the song I have been the most upset with not making the chart since, Atomic Kitten cancelled 'You Are' as a single. This song has an epic sound to it, and I can see it becoming a favourite in reality TV highlight segments (eg. Big Brother Best Bits etc...)
December 23, 200816 yr Author 03: Leona Lewis - Run Chart Run: [2-1-1-1-1] 5 Weeks* Now, it's very rare you will find a cover song, that is on par with the AMAZING original. Leona's 'Run' is within the Rare section. The performance above, is sensational and she blows any other vocalists out of the water. Snow Patrol's original is my 3rd favourite song of all time. But Leona's version is definately up there. Outstanding.
December 23, 200816 yr I never really got the whole buzz about Fascination I think their 3rd and 2nd singles were far superior :o
December 23, 200816 yr Author 02: Britney Spears - Womanizer Chart Run: [2-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-3-4-8-13] 12 Weeks* So, Britney plays Runner-Up again. 'Womanizer' is a great comeback for the princess of pop, it has done wonders for her, and is marked as her official comeback. Deservedly so. The album is brilliant. I am really happy with how this era is going for her so far, she has her highest opening sales since the 'Ooops!' era. 'Circus' is set to be in my Top 20 YTD chart next year as I am loving that the more I hear it at the moment, and it's not released until February :o. So Britney is number 2, who has managed to pip her to the post?? 01: The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved Chart Run: [2-2-2-1-1-2-4-6-5-8-10-13-14-18-22-27-30-35-37] 19 Weeks So The Script not only manage to prevent Britney from getting a Number 1 'Album of the Year', but also 'Single of the Year' :o The song at number 1, is a song that is actually disliked quite a bit here on Buzzjack, but I absoloutely adore it (Obviously). I dunno what it is. The band really captivated me this year and have stood out head and shoulders above the rest for me. 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' is what started my obsession with them. I also have high hopes for them in the future, and I can guarantee you, I WILL go and see them live at least once in my life :heehee:. Congratulations go out to The Script, who also have my Number 1 album of the Year :cheer:
December 23, 200816 yr Number 4 sees the most undeserving flop of the year. Big Brother Best Bits etc...) This made me LOL! Great chart so far...guessing your top 2 are 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' and 'Womanizer' ?
December 23, 200816 yr I've actually seen the Script live! :o I went with my sister to see the Hoosiers (she had no-one to go with) and the Script were supporting! That was just before they released We Cry though...

December 23, 200816 yr Author :o You've seen them? :( I was going to go and see them, but I got Sacked before I could :drama: And it's not funny about AK cancelling 'You Are' :( :kink:
December 23, 200816 yr :o You've seen them? :( I was going to go and see them, but I got Sacked before I could :drama: And it's not funny about AK cancelling 'You Are' :( :kink: Have you not found another job yet? :( I wasn't laughing because it was Atomic Kitten (well maybe partly) but just because it seemed like a really random thing to say/ remember
December 23, 200816 yr Author Have you not found another job yet? :( I wasn't laughing because it was Atomic Kitten (well maybe partly) but just because it seemed like a really random thing to say/ remember  :drama: I've been scarred for life, so i'm always gonna remember it  :heehee: No I haven't yet. It's awful, there's hardly anything going at the moment. but there's $h!t loads fo teaching jobs
December 23, 200816 yr Run  Fascination  though i agree with Simon that 10,000 Nights and Boyfriend were better. Womanizer got boring after a while whilst the other two are a bit -_- I prefered We Cry by The Script myself
