December 21, 200816 yr Jeffs version <3 Having said Peter Kay is the true number 1, really this is. Amazing how the campaign has got this so high. I dislike the X Factor version of Hallejulah for the same reasons I dislike Leona's Run.
December 21, 200816 yr Who wants to bet Alexandra's album will outsell LeLe's album by next year?
December 21, 200816 yr Well Peter Kay performed on the Royal Variety Show which was seen by nearly eight million people... might not be the 11/12m that watch the X Factor but it's still quite a decent 'free advert' for him... I suppose so ... but by then almost four shopping days had gone by! Norma Edit - I suppose one of those days didn't really count! Edited December 21, 200816 yr by Norma_Snockers
December 21, 200816 yr I like this, but I like Alexandra better. Than again, I like Rufus Wainwright's just as much as Alex
December 21, 200816 yr No i cant believe ALEX is first! LOL someon knows if she beaten A Moment like this record...?
December 21, 200816 yr Oh and well done Norma on placing the most attractive member of Take That in your siggy!

December 21, 200816 yr Hallelujah... it's over. I'm a bit disappointed though because the top 2 went so high because of the X Factor and a campaign. It was a bit manipulated, other singles hadn't had chance in the end.
December 21, 200816 yr I'm a bit disappointed considering it means that Alexandra will replace Jamelia, Beverley Knight, and Alesha Dixon as the face of UK R&B.* *Yes, I know.
December 21, 200816 yr But people didn't HAVE to buy the songs that were used on X Factor or used in Campaigns if they didn't want too! ;)
December 21, 200816 yr Hallelujah... it's over. I'm a bit disappointed though because the top 2 went so high because of the X Factor and a campaign. It was a bit manipulated, other singles hadn't had chance in the end. I know, that's why we need TOTP back!
December 21, 200816 yr Well done Alexandra! :D the 2nd best version IMO after Rufus Wainwright Great for Beyonce with her singles and album climbing back up the chart, sadly her next single Diva isnt a good song but I may change my mind :)

December 21, 200816 yr To think she had her own show too, to promote the song. Rich, I agree with Aaron, you really do confuse me about your feelings towards X Factor! I also don't get how people are moaning that songs, performed on X Factor are doing well, when I'm pretty much sure they're few of the people that are saying we need more shows to promote music on... (That bit wasn't directed at you in particular Rich ) Also... Poor Rich (Gooddelta). Lost out on his Number 2 bet :( I want a music show that the parasitic money grabbing Simon Cowell does not inflict the lowest common denominator Westlife emoting wannabes; chav Justin Timberlake sound a likes & Mariah Houston's doing their vocal acrobatics & being described as world class, when with the exception of Leona Lewis none of them are on a par with the best acts that come out of American Idol. But American Idol is a Simon Fuller show not a Simon Cowell show, and I'd rather trust some one who came up with The Spice Girls, S Club 7 & Cathy Dennis than someone who come up with Robson & Jerome, Zig & Zag, The Teletubbies & Westlife. Simon Cowell would not know creative talent if it bit him on the backside as proved by his comments regarding David Bowie, Kate Bush, Bjork, Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen & why he thinks the Beatles are grossly overrated and nowhere near as good as Abba or Queen. I bet he never heard of Hallelujah until an American Idol contestant performed it on that show where he was a judge. That is why I want TOTP back on a Saturday evening (but not with these two imbeciles doing the Radio 1 Chart countdown). If the BBC can successfully revive Dr Who then they can easily revive TOTP.
December 21, 200816 yr I want an unpredictable xmas chart back :( Another song from the Donnie Darko soundtrack ala Mad World might do the trick. :P
