That was the most ludicrously difficult thing for me to sort out so far in BJSC history. (Excluding my own entry) I rated 16 of the 22 songs 8 or higher out of 10 in SF2.

 

Somehow reading the feedback regarding SF1, I suspect it will be easier to vote in the Final.

The vocals remind me a lot of CSS so I'm digging it.

 

Strange that some people found this a strong competition; I found the quality severely lacking. Especially in Semi Final 1.

I think it's the people who haven't listened to Semi 1 that have said it's quite a strong competition, those in Semi 1, know better :lol:

I reckon if you chucked a few songs from semi 1 and the auto qualifiers into semi 2 it'd be a good final.

YAY for a flood of votes. Only one nation remains having received votes from all available nations, however, the leader of the other semi-final has mustered 18 more points. The top two of this semi have received the same amount of votes also, with third place having received one less. The qualifying water-mark of SF1 is currently 32 points, the qualifying water-mark of SF2 is 21 points and currently in a tie-break situation. The bottom placed songs have 5 and 3 points. There are a good few shocks thus far in one of the semis!

It's a tad worrying that only 5 participants in SF2 have voted with two days to go. PLZ DON'T MAKE ME PM Y'ALL.

I'll vote on Sunday Afternoon. Although i may be in the weaker semi, i'd still prefer to be in SF1, it makes it more pleasurable to listen to the songs. I listened to precisely 18 of the songs before SF's were organised, and only 3 ended up in my semi :(, and its a good job i heard Breathe Slow and Halo outside the BJSC, otherwise that would leave me with only Nerina Pallot! With the other 14 "discoveries" in SF1 :(

I will assume that semi 1 is where the shocks lie seeing as that is where the two favourites currently are...I wonder if one or both of these is underperforming...

 

see, if you'd kept odds threads banned there would be no talking points here as we wouldn't know what songs were supposed to do well and badly so there would be no expectations :P

I wish I'd waited now, there's a song I havent given points that I wish I had now because I have grown on it. :P

Dalisska found it pretty easy to vote actually, I think I've become harder to impress recently as I used to have around 16 - 18 songs I wanted to give points to, now it's usually about 11-13.

 

I found 3 really great songs though so I'm very happy ^_^

People seem to be saying SF2 is the stronger semi, so you're not really. :o

:thinking: If it's semi 1 I'd say it was Lights but Pavel made a comment suggesting it isn't. I can't see Agnes getting 100% support so I think this song could be in semi 2, there have been less voters there so it seems more likely anyway. I can't really see a song in semi 2 that everyone will have liked, the voters so far have quite different tastes. If I had to guess on one I'd say it was Alesha. (ok - that gives away something about my own votes)

True, but that could be because members who are in Semi Final 2 have not yet listened (like me) to tracks in Semi Final 1. Hence my frequent personal chart posting catchphrase "I know & like...".

The Sound Of Arrows are amazing, i just can't remember the lyrics at all :lol: . Its due to zoom up my chart this week though.
