I shall vote soon, had a quick flick through Semi 1 last night and it didn't seem too great tbh, don't think any of them rated higher than 8/10 on first listen, of course that could all change though ^_^

JNPPF was exceptionally cheap IMO...a cheap entry dressed up in a cheap tuxedo in the form of a foreign language...

Even i know it was slightly cheap, i actualy expected a backlash and floppage

Kopečka can officially announce some very shocking news. FSR Farahtyn just submitted their votes, a record 20 hours before the deadline. Kopeček bookmakers have been celebrating in the streets at the news, but are still dreading tomorrow ahead of rumours that Rivandia will not vote for a record fifth time :kink:

even i'm shocked i voted that early!

I can now officially announce that at some point in the last few votes, the leading country of SF2 did not receive a vote where it could have done so, ending the chances of what could've been a rather sexual record to go in Rich's thread ;_;

Whats that meant to mean?

I just hope One Republic qualify, defying the odds. When i listen to it now its just ok. The chords don't seem as heavy now and its too predictable for me anyway, reducing the "impact" that made the song so great  . I tend to think that others will think that too.

Not true - you can't use the same artist two contests in a row, even if they're not the credited ones - for example, you can't use Mutya Buena one contest and the Sugababes the next, or vice versa, or Mutya Buena in every contest. And you can't use an artist that came top three in the prior contest :P

Someone remembering our convo back in the early days lol.

Mutya Buena could not follow a Sugababes song with her in lol.

Whats that meant to mean?

There was a song in SF2 that had received points from everyone who had voted. I know what it is

boo

Aaron - you're giving away far, far too much before voting has finished. If this continues you should be disqualified .... please delete your clues in the last post.

For your information I still don't have a clue what Aaron is on about

I'm not sure what Aaron's on about but I'm sure 2 minutes worth of flicking through the board will tell me. Please delete it.

I'd be inclined to give Tyron a slap on the wrist for telling him anyways

Unless Aaron is kidding....

Aaron confuses me, as always. Looking at the songs i voted for, id say there are 4 songs which i could imagine being the song. Unless it's Singapore (doubt it LOL)
Just voted, not the best quality semi, although a couple I rated at 7/10 did end up at 8/10, so not all bad ^_^
TBH i even don't want to guess which song will qualify by those Tyron's hints because it damages the fun of the results announcement. I personally don't want to know who has qualified until tomorrow 7:30 PM.

I completely missed any earlier references so missed which country had scored points from everyone

not that it particularly matters...when I was hosting BJSCVIII, Ojnoj's Kate Nash - Skeleton Song scored points from all of the first 12-15 voting countries I think but only 1-4 points from each country and it was by no means an overwhelming qualification from their semi through to the final...

the same thing happened to Vincent last time, he scored points from the majority of available countries in the semi but most of them were low points so he didn't qualify

so in a nutshell, don't assume that the song which everyone likes is one that has been scoring 10's and 12's across the board, it might have got 1 point from everyone with a total of less than 20 points :heehee:

I am trying to avoid the clues. With it being the first contest for me, I dont really want to know so that the suspense is there.

But, I think I might have worked out the country who did have all the points. Sadly :P

For your information I still don't have a clue what Aaron is on about

Same

Same :P

FYI Peter, I didn't tell Aaron who it was, but I did fail to notice that one of the details I gave in one of my clues essentially narrowed the detail down to two countries, which Aaron rather cannily picked up on :P He has been sworn to secrecy obv :smoke:

After all of the votes since I went off last night:

  • We have our first mathematically inevitable non-qualifier! :(
  • We have eight mathematically inevitable qualifiers - four from each semi!

I hope it isn't Skall :smoke:. No doubt my votes will make it even less likely...

SF2 is far more female-poppy than SF1 of BJSCXVII.

Hmmm, very interesting

... *waits* :kink:
