I think its because on the weekend people like to buy all the dancey type songs. Up, the promise, The boy does nothing, dance wiv me and single ladies all climbed a little at the weekend last week so it seems like people buy party type songs at the weekend. Maybe its after a friday/saturday night in the clubs and bars.

I assume more people have time to log on to the iTunes store at weekends and with this increase activity comes a significant shift in user demographics resulting in the disproportionately high demand for older tracks.

 

I suppose if you didn’t follow music online on a forum like Buzzjack, only listened to some provincial radio station and watched terrestrial TV you would easily fall way behind and be oblivious to new music.

its definatly the weekend effect, people here the promise and older songs out, they still get played in clubs and bars, before people go out! they will put them on and then download up sat or sunday day i reckon! i often download songs that i heard on sat night on sunday morning cause i'll often like them after hearing them out, older ones that is!

I knew Eminem would shoot up when he got into the top 10, I think we'll see him at #1 soon. Yay for Alesha though, I knew she could do it! What's with the random climbing of the Fray though, I'm not complaining though haha I'm actually really glad, it got a poor peak.
