February 1, 200917 yr 1 Lily Allen - The Fear [P] *1st week at #1* http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDR6764.JPG Chart Run: 1 [1 wk] Release date: 26-1-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: REG150CD Label: PARLOPHONE U.K. singer Lily Allen is the daughter of the notorious British actor/comedian Keith Allen, and her father's sharp sense of humour is reflected in the music on her highly acclaimed 2006 debut full-length, ALL RIGHT STILL. Following the runaway success of the single "Smile"--which hit the top spot on the U.K. singles chart--the album is blend of pop-reggae, hip-hop, and U.K. R&B delivered with witty lyrical barbs and a chart-friendly pop sheen. While her brash outspokenness has made her a media fixation in England. - HMV Video here: Chart history (Year peak title): 2006 01 Smile 2006 06 LDN 2006 21 Littlest Things 2007 15 Alfie 2007 08 Oh My God (Mark Ronson Feat. Lily Allen) 2007 56 Drivin' Me Wild (Common Feat. Lily Allen) 2009 01 The Fear This is the 2nd #1 hit for Lily and I think its her best tune so far but I think the video was a bit stupid.
February 1, 200917 yr Do you think 'The Fear' will stay at the top longer than smile? Guess not if Daniel Merriweather's Change will storm to the top spot.
February 1, 200917 yr It will then be released as Kill You? She's all about controversy though isn't she so y'know!
February 1, 200917 yr just wondering Lily Allen is the fourth consecutive female artist to enter at number one following Lady Gaga, Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis, when was the last time this happened?
February 1, 200917 yr I just think of Lily Allen and I bet she smells  I don't know why I get that impression. She just looks trampy.
February 1, 200917 yr It will then be released as Kill You? She's all about controversy though isn't she so y'know!
February 1, 200917 yr She's all about controversy though isn't she so y'know! Let's see in few weeks. :D
February 1, 200917 yr Guess not if Daniel Merriweather's Change will storm to the top spot. Hope so...

February 1, 200917 yr just wondering Lily Allen is the fourth consecutive female artist to enter at number one following Lady Gaga, Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis, when was the last time this happened? This just reminds me, it's a shame "The Fear" was released this week as that statistic someone mentioned a while ago would have been beaten. Take That spent 1 week at #1, Leona spent 2, Alex spent 3 and Lady GaGa was almost 4. Edited February 1, 200917 yr by Aaron™
February 1, 200917 yr Everyone hates Lily as a person. :D Erm speak for yourself. :/ I think she's just opinionated, she seems like a nice funny person from what I've seen.
February 1, 200917 yr Love that they've just played Daniel Merriweather! LOL Many songs they play at the start of Switch will go to No. 1. e.g. XF's Hero, Just Dance
