I honestly didn't think it'd debut at #1. It's unfortunate I was wrong.

It's a fair enough song, but her attitude stinks. I know everyone loves a "cool" rebel kid, but I don't get it. I hate the mellodramatic "I TELL IT HOW IT IS" attitude she promotes. It really makes me wince.

 Love "the fear" but lily has a person is absolutely hateful. She is like Amy Winehouse now almost that unbearable has a person its spoils listening to the great music they do.
Not that hard really... :P

lol yes, most of the stuff shes released before is rubbish

Everyone hates Lily as a person. :D

I don't. So she went through the whole precocious brat thing, but she has something to say and her attitude and frank opinions are reflective of what everyone in the UK (with half a brain) is thinking.

"The Fear" is the best number one we've had in a long time and sticks a middle finger at the usual phoney RnB dirge (just like Lady gaga and the likes) we've been exposed with so long!

Liek it or not, Lily is fast becoming a national treasure!

since when is Lady Gaga R&B...?

It's in the RnB ilk. Or electro RnB. Or whatever it is... Perhaps you could help me out?

She's pop. Everywhere she's considered electronica-pop artist, aka electro-pop or dance-pop.

But Akon is on the track, it's obviously R&B.
Colby O'Donis not Akon :P But yeah...

Doesn't Akon do a few backing vocals later into the song too?

I think he just says Konvict. He's not credited on the track anyway. But she's on his label.

just wondering Lily Allen is the fourth consecutive female artist to enter at number one following Lady Gaga, Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis, when was the last time this happened?

Lady GaGa didn't enter at No1! She climbed 3-1-...

The last time we had 4 consecutive No1's from female artists was in 2006...

Sandi Thom - I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker 15-2-1-

Nelly Furtado - Maneater 8-1-

Shakira - Hips Don't Lie 54-3-2-1-

Lily Allen - Smile 13-1-
