March 16, 200916 yr just found out about this  Oooh dear Test was actually quite a good wrestler i thought. RIP Test (Andrew Martin) :(
March 16, 200916 yr Test :( I watched a couple of his old matches about a month ago randomly, he will be missed.
March 19, 200916 yr Author Man, this is not good. Wrestlemania's should always been booked like six months ahead, especially the Silver Anniversary. There's a report of WWE worried about Mania's buyrate. They think it'll be 500,000 buys or so, the lowest since Mania 19. I think it'll do more than that, but it wouldn't surprise me. Nothing has been built this year, period. Well, the only match that has build up is Hardy v. Hardy but that's hardly been on fire or anything. HHH v. Orton was tossed together after NWO because Vince and co. liked the idea of breaking kayfabe and showing HHH & Steph as a couple. However, great it was, the title's changing hands this close to Mania is not a great idea. Hell, even last year you had Undertaker v. Edge which had pretty much a whole year of build up. Jericho's angle has just turned into a disaster. MITB is just a throwaway match to save building mid-card matches. Taker v. Shawn will be a great match, but they've only started interacting in the last few weeks (bar RR). JBL v. Rey if it happens? WHAT? They randomly announced Rey challenged JBL to an IC match for Mania during Rey's match on Raw?? Seriously, Vince hasn't always been right, but this is so poorly planned it's unreal. It's a shame, because if $h!t had've been done right, it could've been amazing. The matches will probably be good, but there's VERY little depth and not a great deal to sell to the general public. No wonder why WWE are worried, but it's a bit late now...
March 19, 200916 yr Bit off-topic, but has the tickets for WM25 sold out? Edited March 19, 200916 yr by funmaker11
March 19, 200916 yr The whole Hardy vs Hardy thing is stupid. I don't care for either one of them the way that I SHOULD be caring for their feud. It happened last time, nobody liked the idea of a Hardy vs Hardy feud. It FLOPPED BIG TIME! The 25-Diva Battle Royal... Nobody cares about the divas anymore (Get NO reaction from the crowd most of the time) The MITB was ruined the days Kane and Mark Henry were announced! (Not so much Kane but him and Mark Henry in a match that is best suited for the high flyers... just NO!) The WWE Tag Team Championship unification match. Morrison & The Miz vs Primo and Carlito... Will be amazing! But Morrison should be in the MITB. Hopefully the Colons win so WWE can split Morrison and Miz and push Morrison towards the main event! 'taker vs HBK  I'm still pumped for this! Orton vs Triple H is getting good. Can't wait for that. But Triple H in the WM Main event AGAIN? But Big Show in a main event? at the biggest PPV of the year?? Just wouldn't appeal to ANYONE! (Although I hate John Cena he would have been enough with just Edge) The only thing they can do now is somehow get Henry out of the MITB match, and replace with Bourne. IMO. Get Big show out of the championship run. JBL and Rey both are LONG past their prime, Rey doesn't excite as much anymore, JBL let's face it should give up and go back to commentary. Get some NEW main eventers in the MAIN EVENT! Everyone is sick of seeing the same 4 or 5 people in the main events all the time against each other! Orton, Edge, Triple H, Batista & John Cena (Batista isn't in it this year but would have been had he not been injured) have all been in the main event for quite some time now. Give the deck a shuffle. Get us back to the attitude days where ANYTHING literally could happen, and FUCK OFF with the whole "PG Rating" thing!
March 19, 200916 yr Almost agreed with everything there Jon apart from Divas as they are very exciting for me ATM and also there could be some suprises and It is a battle royal for pete's sake which is amazing :D . How can you say nobody cares about the divas now. Edited March 19, 200916 yr by Rock N Rolla

How can you say nobody cares about the divas now. :blink:I care for the divas  In general if you watch some recent RAW diva matches, they get little to zero reaction. The only ones successful are Beth, Mickie & Melina... Smackdown is taped so it's hard to tell whether the reactions are real or just canned in.
March 19, 200916 yr Author The thing is, WWE doesn't give their fans a reason to care about the Divas. Even Beth Phoenix's character went sour too quickly. They could've had her play the comedic role while still being a monster (at least), but now she's just a joke getting pinned all the time. Oh, and Maryse is the only heel Diva who can pull off the "bitch" attitude really well (other than Melina). Again, there's no depth to the Divas division. What Jonjo said is right about same, rehashed main events. Theres so LITTLE progression in WWE anymore. I mean, seriously, it's a joke. How many times have we seen Orton v. HHH? I get the story, and for the first two weeks it was hot but the general consensus is they're trying too hard now. It's just so stale. And I know ECW isn't a focal point of WWE or anything but to not have an ECW Title main event announced under three weeks before the "supposed" biggest event ever is pretty ridiculous. I'm sure Bourne will face Swagger which will be a good match, but it's not the point. Why should people care about the match?! They could've really gone all out promoting this as the biggest Wrestlemania ever. It really is, being the SILVER ANNIVERSARY and all, but it looks to me like the most boring card ever. Taker v. HBK, Hardy v. Hardy, Bourne v. Swagger (assumption) and the Tag unification match should save it from being a stinker. But sometimes it's not about the work. It's about everything as a whole. The whole build up, anticipation and blow-off. I'm always pumped for Mania, but even Wrestlemania XI had more build up than this show. It's like, WWE are worried now, but they're only just realising they've messed up? I think it'll go down as one of the biggest booking f*** ups in history.
March 20, 200916 yr WWE confirms Rourke for Wrestlemania Thursday, March 19 2009, 11:32 GMT By Lara Martin, Entertainment Reporter WWE confirms Rourke for Wrestlemania Rex Features Mickey Rourke will be attending this year's Wrestlemania 25 event, according to a WWE representative. Speaking to Access Hollywood, the spokesperson confirmed that the Wrestler star would be making an appearance at the pay-per-view event in Houston, Texas on April 5. The Oscar-nominated actor had previously expressed his interest in attending, telling Access: "I want to [do it]...I’m talking with [former WWE star] Rowdy Roddy Piper about it." However, a representative for the 56-year-old later downplayed his involvement, insisting that work commitments would prevent him from participating. During a taping of this week's Monday Night RAW, WWE star Chris Jericho fuelled speculation that the actor had reconsidered his position, after issuing a challenge to wrestling legends including Piper. He said: "You say you’re going to be at Mania, I’m going to buy you a front row seat, because I want you to see up close and personal what’s going to happen to all your friends. "And unlike your movie The Wrestler, the ending of this isn’t going to be ambiguous. It’s going to be tragic." Representatives for Rourke have yet to comment.
