March 1, 200916 yr Author WWE is still pretty much the same as it was 2-3 years ago. It's got a little more interesting, but it's still over-produced tripe a lot of the time. It's not even the "good" kind of over-produced like it was during the Attitude era when everyone watched it. There are still some good points to it, otherwise I would've given up on it like 4 years ago. Randy Orton is the one to watch. He's been on fire lately, and is pretty much going to be their top star for the next year. People will try and and tell you Cena sucks - don't listen to them. He's their biggest star since The Rock and has tremendous pacing in his matches. His moves lack, and he's a bit corny, but watch his match v. Umaga from Royal Rumble 07 and tell me he's crap ;) It's because some people are still riding on the Cena hate bandwagon that started up in 2005. It's pretty much dead now, but you'll find plenty who think he's the armageddon of wrestling. Triple H is still main eventing Wrestlemania, so not much has changed to be honest. He's still jerking off over the rest of the roster.

March 1, 200916 yr No people WERE booing Cena because he was seen as UNBEATABLE, and what-not, I mean he teamed up with Kennedy once against the whole ECW Locker Room, IIRC and HE was the one to eliminate all of them SINGLE handedly. Which got Even more annoying by the fact he has a very limited Move-set, and became a champion for over a YEAR! But it's not so bad now as the "Unbeatable"/"Undefeated" one has without a doubt gone back to Triple H. Who seems to lose his matches, by Flukes (Roll-ups at the last second or whatever)/Cheated (Getting hit with a chair or involvement from outside)/Being the one NOT to be pinned (In Triple Threats, notice how [unless one of the previous mentions happens] he is NEVER the one to be pinned cleanly. or in Tag Matches, he's never the one pinned) John Cena has started to lose so much more and he is actually starting to become bearable. He still annoys me though, MAINLY coz I find him so corny, and he still (although he has improved a little) has a very limited move-set... ;) Edited March 1, 200916 yr by Jonjo
March 1, 200916 yr Author People were booing Cena because he was a champion imo. Yeah, but there was a lot of hate for how he worked i.e. five moves of doom. He's very much a formulaic wrestler, just like The Rock, Ric Flair, Bret Hart etc. His moveset isn't his strongest quality, but he has so many more attributes that make his work good. I'll agree that most people didn't like him being force fed to the audience, but it worked for WWE. The numbers don't lie. He had the highest grossing mechandise sales of 2008 which were the second largest sales in one year in WWE history (only behind Steve Austin). I just think people need to get over his year+ title reign. Look across the internet and you'll still see the $h!t Cena gets from people who think he gets too much exposure. It's one thing to not like the guy, but to deny him of a main event or title slot is pretty wild. Ratings have been great the last two weeks, but since his return back in November last year they've been up in the 3's. Before that, when Jericho was champion they were down in the 2's.
March 3, 200916 yr RAW was BRILLIANT last night! I enjoyed ALL the promo's, enjoyed the matches, Enjoyed the cross branding! Hopefully though Gail Kim returns to Smackdown and challenges Maryse for the Divas Championship Straight away and wins it in her debut return match (Just like she did with the Women's Championship :kink:) GREAT RAW! I'm so hyped about Wrestlemania! Orton just get's BETTER and BETTER! AAARRGGGHHH! I'm so pumped now! The Orton/Triple H promo was probably the best promo for a main event match, in recent weeks! Maybe in a while!

Cena DRAWS big for WWE. While Trips gets decent pops, he doesn't draw a dime anymore. Infact, the only time he ever drew was back in 2000 when he was working with guys like The Rock and Steve Austin. Cena was on top, superman, invincible etc. because it worked. Isn't it interesting that the best match on the card will probably be HBK v. Taker? That shows a lot about the new generation of wrestlers. RAW was really strong... again. Man, they're on a role. I'm so uninterested in Triple H, but they've done a masterful thing with this angle. It reminds me of how hot Austin v. HHH was back in 2001 when they couldn't touch each other before NWO. I'm so glad WWE haven't gone with the standard "promo, fight, chase, 10000 tag matches" formula they use to build every main event PPV match. We've seen Orton and HHH fight too much, which is why it's great they're going to play the "can HHH hold his cool before Mania?" card. I knew Show would be added to the World Title match somehow. Man, that's gonna be a stinker. Show's become literally the most boring main event worker in a while. I'm hoping Cena's added to the match.

Although I find him more entertaining than Mark Henry (Who has always been my least favourite wrestler EVER! <_<) I was so pissed off at Undertaker's Return at 'Unforgiven' 2007, because Mark Henry really ruined that match, he was SO SLOW! And APPARENTLY... (MITB Spoiler below DON'T read if you don't wanna know :P) Mark Henry is probably going to be added into the MITB match at Wrestlemania (Match on ECW against Santino to determine the qualifier :() which has pissed me off SO MUCH! I don't care for ANY of the contenders announced for that match so far -_- CM Punk bore's me now, Kane is past it and now MARK FUCKING HENRY is added! They better add Bourne, Morrison, Benjamin, and/or Mr Kennedy to the match in order for me to gain interest <_< Edited March 3, 200916 yr by Jonjo

I really didn't think WWE would be that stupid. They've usually been quite good with MITB participants. I'm really hoping Bourne is cleared for Mania because he's the freshest thing to add to the match.
March 8, 200916 yr Not seen Smackdown yet this week, should be in about an hour or so ;) But I've read a couple of Spoilers and I am shocked at what Matt does to get Jeff to attack him! The Hardyz don't mind bringing real life stories into the business do they? LOL
March 8, 200916 yr Author I didn't see Smackdown, but apparently Cena whispered something in Vickie's ear. I think he'll kayfabe blackmail his way into the World Title match, making it a three-way. Maybe he "knows" something that's gone on between Vickie and Big Show? I think they'll give confirmation on Raw tomorrow. SPOILER: Show gave away the World Title match on VH1. He said he was facing Cena and Edge at Mania, so it's pretty much confirmed.
March 11, 200916 yr 'WWE' makes TV history Wednesday, March 11 2009, 10:55 GMT By Dan French WWE Friday Night SmackDown will make US TV history this Friday when it celebrates its 500th episode on MyNetworkTV. By accomplishing this in ten years, SmackDown becomes the fastest weekly episodic to reach this milestone in US primetime broadcast television history. "We are thrilled to celebrate this and future milestones with World Wrestling Entertainment," said Greg Meidel, President of MyNetworkTV. "As demonstrated by the network's continued record breaking SmackDown viewership, the road to the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania is clearly traveling right through MyNetworkTV.":cheer: FANTASTIC
March 11, 200916 yr Yeah which I am now scared that they are going to let CM Punk win MITB :( Yes he's a good athlete, but he bores me so much now! He needs a gimmick change or something, i've heard he used to be a decent heel in his ROH days so maybe make him a heel! OR JBL will get a way into the MITB and be the first person to hold both the IC and Heavyweight Title at the same time...
March 12, 200916 yr OR JBL will get a way into the MITB and be the first person to hold both the IC and Heavyweight Title at the same time... Oh my days. I really hope not :puke2:
March 14, 200916 yr Former WWE Superstar Andrew "Test" Martin found dead PWInsider.com is sad to report that former WWE star Andrew "Test" Martin was found dead in his apartment in Tampa, Florida at the age of 33, just four days shy of his 34th birthday. We don't have much in the way of details at this time. Tampa area authorities have declined to officially confirm it is Martin they found but word within the industry has been widespread the last few hours.
March 14, 200916 yr Author Drugs, anybody? It's too bad, though. I've just got to say RAW's ending this week has to go down as one of the worst/comedic ever. HHH's acting skills were beyond terrible. As were the "extras". They could've made it seem a little more realistic by not having a camera man magically appear outside Orton's window. The angle screamed desperation to me. It's like Vince is trying to manufacture great angles again, and it's only because "HHH avenge his wife" was so hot a few weeks back. They've made Orton look like a chump, while Trips is coming across like a real bad ass. It should be the other way round (and could've gone that way a month or so ago).
