I think this is their second best single, behind Sexy! No No No.

I want it to get top 10, not because I'm a GA fan, but just because I don't like it when chart-runs are ended :( Also, seeing as it is one of their strongest singles imo, it deserves to over some of their others.

The video should help quite a bit as others have said - definitely one of their best.

I think I agree actually, the videos this era have been quite good actually. Like Jack said, there are a few effects that look cheap, but apart from that it's rather good.

Woo I love that video. The song is really quite good as well, it used to be in one of my 4 awful tracks on the album but this edit makes it one of the best on there. I'm really glad this was made to be a single, song length can really make a difference to me it seems. :lol:

Aha yes, but not in the traditional sense. Give me a shorter edit of something over a 7 minute long thing every time. I don't think the long version of this goes anywhere, I've only heard a few songs that push the 5:30 mark that I find worth listening to as I feel they go somewhere, "Untouchable" doesn't seem to be worth it's length. The radio edit however, this is what it should have been all along. :wub:

^^ totally agree, i always thought the album edit was that bit too long. Its not helped by the fact that you are waiting for nadines bit at the end all the way through lol

I love the album version and the radio version is yet to grow on me, but I agree with this tbh. It IS too long and I spend every verse just waiting for Nadine's bridge to hurry up and arrive :heehee:

Some positivity over the video is nice to see... there's a lot of hate for it!

I feel the need to defend myself, no offense to you, but you've turned the story around completely! Clearly, you have not read the whole thread like you've said.

1 - I KNOW this is a prediction thread and if you page back I never started ANY ARGUMENT, and infact asked a few to elaborate on why they thought the song would not go top 10. Not once was I looking for an argument. There's a difference between discussing and arguing. And when Andy started getting offensive toward me, even after me trying to be nice and not offending him after a post, he just kept going. So I had no choice but to set things straight. Also, if I'm arguing, you are too. So if you're trying to victimise me, it's not working. It's only making you look like a hypocrite.

 

2 - NOT ONCE, did I refuse to acknowledge yours and Andys points. I said in literally ever reply that they were valid! Hello?? All I did was try to prove the chances the single did have in reaching top 10, and why it will, and why it will not. Which YOU and Andy REFUSED to acknowledge. Then, Andy came with an attitude and insulted me and said the song has quote '' NO CHANCE OF TOP 10", where you came in unnecessarily and repeated everything he just said. So I took it that you had the same intentions as him! So please don't try to make me look like some bad guy, when I'm not, that whole post you just posted was one complete lie! How you had the nerve to post it, I don't know. You fired this argument and even after I said it should stop, now you still insist on carrying on!

3 - When was I ever trying to change anyones mind? Its great if you feel so upbeat about this single but others have misgivings and thats all fine and good too. I think they missed a trick when they got Bimbo Jones to do the remix of this, I was just listening to the radio mix of "Untouchable" and thinking how well it would lend itself to a Flip & Fill remix. I know Girls Aloud have been remixed by them before and I think this is probably the most obvious single of theirs asking to be remixed by them.

I still cant get over how utterly great the video is. I am so suprised they did something so good for a 3rd single. Makes me realise how perfect this single choice was.

 

I think it has a better chance of top ten now.

 

Especially as the daily star has said the release date is now the 20th of April rather than 27th.

Although the 20th would make more sense as the tour would start in the release week and the girls are bound to get lots of press when the tour starts. If the tour opens with untouchable, it will probably do a lot for the single.

Still loving this video to bits and pieces. I've really liked the videos for all 3 videos this time, and they have had some really pants videos in their time.

It gives me goosies watching it now, the ending is so fab.
