February 26, 200917 yr Great to see Friendly Fires on the A-List.. Looks like Radio 1 are finally waking up after a bad few months of playlist dross. Great to see Peter, Bjorn & John, Royksopp and La Roux on the list. Still far too much crap music on their A list though.

Of course, Doves, Lady GaGa, Jack Peñate, The Gaslight Anthem and La Roux are all already on ther Fresh playlist, but I think it's testimony to Fresh Radio that they appear to be much more on the ball than Radio 1 now. Yeah, I was wondering what's been going on with Radio 1's "Upfront" list lately...it's just not so..err...Upfront anymore :P The Gaslight Anthem, La Roux and Hockey tracks have been around for a while now. Good to see Jack Penate's new one on the list, better than his previous material. What the heck is "Heads, Shoulders, Knees And Toes"? I remember a kiddies rhyme that went like that - please god, don't say they've playlisted a song that's based on that?! :wacko:

The lo fi video in the RnB section is so much better.
