I agree with Addy, this is going towards ESC rejects spinoff. I don't know what was wrong with Power Trip Ballad, personally!

 

all songs that enter the heats but don't win are instantly ESC rejects...but they are also 'hit singles' in their own right in these countries...

 

take EMD's Baby Goodbye, an ESC reject, but also Sweden's current No.1 single! Only 1 song out of 32 can win, no matter how good the songs are, so why should they all be tarnished with this failure brush when somewhere in the world they are hit singles in their own right, just like many of the songs usually entered to BJSC

 

I don't think these songs are instantly unworthy of musical value just because they didn't win...if we put all of the songs in UK top 20 together in a competition...there would only be one winner, but the losing 19 tracks wouldn't automatically have any less musical value to them

It wasnt so much of a complaint, as an observation. I definetly agree with what you are saying, but I am saying, that a lot of people are now entering ESC rejects, and it is getting a bit more down the alley.
