March 12, 200916 yr The news reporter scenes are indeed epic. LMFAO at them making fun of Fox. The whole video is basically how Amy is like her alter ego... while she is inside (away from the public) it's like she is this sexed up woman... Amy if you will, but while she is outside she puts on a show of being Britney (because that's what the public wants to see... this dolled up image of her being a flawless soccer mom). I think it also has double meanings to, at the same time everybody wants to f*** Amy even though they all praise good Britney. That's what I get from it anyways. Pretty clevaaaa imo. I got a similar, if not same, message from the vid too... I find it to be very clever in the way it has been set up and an obvious fight back to all the controversy which i didnt really expect! Well done to Jive - again - very clever! Its a lil different to how i imagined it to be... In my head i had as a club scene and two Britneys one chasing the other but i think that was just me being very literal :lol: Is it an improvement from the Circus video? No but its definitely on par and definitely lives up to Womanizer too.

March 13, 200916 yr Author Back to talking about what this video is about... I think she's trying to tell us that nothing is ever just black or white. The empty can rattles the most, but still waters run deep. Your typical "You think you know, but you have no idea." kind of deal. You can build a facade, and everything may look and seem perfect on the outside, but we all have our dirty little secrets, hidden behind closed doors. I see the whole video as a dig at all the prude, and conservative mothers that attacked the song in the first place, saying it was too vulgar and provocative. It feels like Britney is saying: "You might want to take a look at your own life, before you dare to judge mine". The stepford wife with a pie is a symbol of how she is putting on her mask. Her clean image mask that everyone loves. The image that sells records. She is serving everyone exactly what they want, with a tounge in cheek smile that says "look how easy it is", and we're all eating out of her hand. She's in control. She is playing the game. It's all for show. No one knows anything about what's really going on. Nothing makes sense. and THAT is why we keep coming back for more.
March 13, 200916 yr For me this is the 3rd great video in a row from Britters. Amazing, for me it's better than Circus but not quite as orgasmic as Womanizer. The concept is very clever and allows you to draw your own meaning from it. Pretty awesome

Apart from the "controversy" surrounding the title I don't see what else is so special about it. After something as good as 'Circus' it is a shame she follows it up with something as poor as this...

Music is all an opinion. A few people thought Circus was awful and should have never been a single. The masses seem to like all the music off this album so far.

March 14, 200916 yr The video does kinda make sense (to me), she's singing "Love me//hate me, Say what you want about me, All the girls//boys begging to seek Amy", and this Amy-character is in the house, and everyone (the press) is looking for her, this sex-craved whatever you call it figure, but what the real deal of what they are getting is a family loving Britney character. If that makes sense?
