Looking at the release schedule it looks like the best chance we’ve had for a noteworthy run of 1 week No1’s for YEARS.

The last time we had 4 consecutive 1 week No1's was in the fall of 2006: McFly, Fedde Le Grand, Westlife and Akon.

Before that the next longest run of 1 week No1's was at the beginning of 2005 when an incredible 11 No1's just spent a week at No1: Steve Brookstein, Elvis, Elvis, Ciara, Elvis, Eminem, U2, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly, Stereophonics and McFly.

Well we’ve now had one-week No1’s from:

Kelly Clarkson My Life Would Suck Without You

Flo Rida Feat. Ke$ha Right Round

Jenkins/West/Jones/Gibb Islands In The Stream

and now with the Noisettes pulling away it seems inevitable that:

Lady GaGa Poker Face

will draw us level with that 2006 run of 4 one week No1’s. So let’s look at the contenders in the coming weeks:

28/03 Noisettes Don't Upset the Rhythm (Go Baby Go)

On course to be No1 this No1…

05/04 Lady Sovereign So Human (Downloads)

Can she do an ‘Estelle’ and shoot to the top with this?

12/04 Calvin Harris I’m Not Alone (Downloads)

Many people on here have tipped it as a No1 over the past few months. Fresh from his No1 with Dizzee can Calvin score a solo chart topper?

19/04 Tinchy Stryder Feat. N-Dubz Number One (Downloads + Physical)

A tough week with Calvin, Poker Face, Jai Ho! and Halo all out physically too. Can Tinchy prevail by holding his single back as the others burn out?

26/04 Asher Roth I Love College

Or could a former No1 climb back to the top? Looks like a week where sales will plummet.

03/05 Ironik Feat. Chipmunk Tiny Dancer (Downloads)

Working around an Elton John chorus worked for Ghetto Gospel for 2Pacs posthumous No1…

Are the 00's gonna end like they began? :o

I don't really see any of those songs being #1? Could be surprised I suppose :P

The next few #1s will be

Noisettes

Noisettes

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris

xP

Noisettes is really catchy but I really don't see it going #1

I have a weird feeling that Jai Ho will somehow strangely go to #1

Calvin Harris is brilliant, but it doesn't scream #1 to me. Lady GaGa has a chance of staying put this week, but it will be close. As for the others, unsure as well - Lady Soverreign will be top 3 max I reckon. I also agree that Jai Ho! could be #1 too at some point :P
I think Calvin is the most likely to get to #1 out of them all.

Surely the Noisettes will be No1 in tomorrow’s mids?! I guess Amazon has thrown a spanner in the works for using iTunes as the unofficial mids!

It’s not inconceivable that the Pussycat Dolls could climb to No1; if the Noisettes can't take Poker Face with their lead on iTunes I can't see it happening for a while though!

Thursday sales are usually very small, and I'd imagine the gap between Flo and Gaga as of Wednesday 23.59/Thursday 00.00 is fairly large (probably somewhere between 5k-10k).

Therefore if Noisettes weren't ahead of Flo in today's mids, I'd be surprised if they overtook both Flo AND Gaga in tomorrow's mids.

I think they'll be #2 tomorrow, and that it'll be incredibly close come Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised if either (Noisettes or Gaga) took the top spot on Sunday.

Noisettes will get a week, I'm not sure on the others, Calvin Harris is a good track, most of those tracks seem to be chav music.

Noisettes could be #1 on Sunday - just look at the lead on iTunes!
