I have a 14 year old niece, a 15 year old niece, a 14 year old step niece and I can assure you none of them have any of the type of pictures you are talking about online nor know anyone that does, that obviously means you hang around with slags and sluts if you know so many people with no self respect that are prepared to degrade themselves in that way even if they are not totally nude

 

When those girls get raped one day or get an online cyber stalker then it will be their tough luck for flaunting themselves in a provocative way like that

GENUINE rape is wrong it is an evil crime but come on man get real if a young girl posts pics of herself on a social networking site wearing just her knickers or less are you seriously suggesting that it is not going to fuel the desires of a person who is inclined to carry out sex attacks or whatever ? do you think those that do put "I am a rapist" in their profile ? course they don't, far more likely they are going to create a profiile of a "fit" teenage lad and then add loads of girls who are dressed sluttily on MySpace

I was talking about Jonny's mates who he readily admitted the majority of them post pictures like this girl or very near to it, I would guess only a small minority of them did it under encouragement to their boyfriend, more likely they just want male attention on MySpace and get to know lads for a shag, basically totally cheapening themselves, getting male attention by posting those type of pictures can very readily lead to harmful male attention, how many of those 15 year old lads they are trying to get via PC2PC are in reality pot bellied 50 year old lorry drivers from Essex pretending to be 15 year old lads ?

 

That is my point, by acting like sluts they are far far more lilely given their lack of self respect to get the wrong type of attention

it depends on the circumstances, this week alone we have seen a poor chef guy dragged before the courts and rightfully acquitted after his name was dragged through the mud by a drunken woman, what you are talking about depends on the evidence and the facts at hand and the circumstances leading up to the alleged rape

 

Wearing revealing clothing is not a licence to be raped but likewise if someone put 3/4 nude pics on a social networking site and got attacked by someone who saw the pics then it would be bloody hard to get a conviction given her conduct

 

Maybe I am stereotyping here but to me someone who posts those sort of pics online are likely to be the "village bike" types and therefore yes would be hard to convict

Read about this and thought it was utterly ridiculous. The girl is an idiot, that's for sure, but these laws were put in place to protect children. Now we're prosecuting them? Ridiculous. Apparently when they do this they never expect the child to be registered as a sex offender, they just do it to scare them, but I don't think toying with the law like that is a good decision at all. This is clearly a parental issue where the law should not be involved in any sort of way.

But there is a difference between raping someone and commenting on their pictures!? Just because a lad comments on a girl he thinks "fit"'s pictures doesn't mean he wants to rape them?! EVERY lad comments on girls pictures saying they're fit etc. but that does not make them pedophiles or rapists! There is a massive difference.

 

Also, people are saying that the parents are to blame. How exactly is it the parents fault? If a girl is 14 she knows what she is doing, no?

I don't see the issue here? :/ People can't see your Facebook profile unless you add them as a friend, and if she only adds people she knows surely they already know where she lives and what her phone number is? :huh:

I have 3 email addresses, my 'home' number and my aussie mobile number on facebook.

 

I know every one of my facebook friends so my Aussie mobile is there for them to contact me while i'm down under coz my normal phone and sim is in my house in Fife

You're asking totally the wrong questions though mate.... What you should be asking is WHY these girls are feeling it's necessary or "cool" to objectify themselves in this way... WHY their self esteem is so fukkin' low that they feel that this is the only way to get attention for themselves.... Yes, they are silly, they are naive, but last time I looked silly and naive weren't criminal offences, whereas adults deliberately taking advantage of that naivete by grooming and premeditatively coercing underage girls into sex acts WAS.....

 

No, I believe that this is a symptom of a sick society which objectifies women, and sexualises younger and younger girls for financial and Capitalist ends.... One only needs to look at the salaciousness of much of the media out there, and the fashion industry has a lot to answer for as well with its teenage, skinny, near anorexic "models"... Frankly, I would say a lot of the so-called "mainstream press", and in particular mags aimed at young females and stuff like Loaded, FHM and Maxim, are actually worse than top-shelf porno mags such as Playboy and Escort..... There are no illusions whasoever about what you get with the latter, whereas the former try to dress themselves up in the respectability of the mainstream press.....

 

Society puts far more pressure on girls to be sexually available than it does men, we totally emphasise female sexuality and de-emphasise male sexuality.... Put it this way, this girl put nudie pics up for boyfriend, for his benefit, I bet he sure as hell didn't reciprocate... Now, why would that be do you reckon.....?
