Jason Mraz has two things going for him... he's used on Now 72 but as "Album Only" so people could be buying it as they see it on the tracklist or whatever... and as Adam said on the previous page, he is on tour at the moment :P

Now that iTunes only updates once every six hours, it makes the updates look more dramatic at this time of day, as the daytime sales kick into the rolling averages.

If the Liverpool Collective track has 19k of guaranteed physical sales already then I honestly can’t see it not being No1 on Sunday. Calvin will probably climb to No1 the week after, then Poker Face could well go back to No1 as GaGa does her promo!

I think a big contributing factor to Jason Mraz's climb was he performed it on Loose Women this morning (or yesterday morning rather). I have to admit it was a good performance, FAR better than the studio version at any rate.

WOW!

GaGa should be ahead in tomorrow's (Today's now) midweeks I think, but Calvin will take over during the week.

EDIT: Although on Amazon GaGa is #1, Calvin is #9!

Calvin could possibly be #1 by the next update; his ascent has up the chart has been much faster than the Noisettes and should surpass GaGa sooner too, giving him a better chance of being #1 on Sunday's chart

I guess we should take into account how well he sells on Amazon and other downloading sites this week, considering GaGa sold more to stay just ahead of the Noisettes these past 2 weeks despite trailing on iTunes

Calvin is #1, but Poker Face is #2 on Amazon and Calvin isn't in the Top 20. ^_^

Why does everyone like this Calvin song? I honestly don't hear anything special in it, just an average dance song.

Who cares what people see in it - at least something credible is now top of the charts removing that Gaga carcrash

Gaga is as credible as Calv, if not more so.

TBH I don't think his is the greatest song ever either...

How a 23 year old artist having previously written for Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block whom is responsible for their own music & strong visual images & cites David Bowie; Queen; Prince; Madonna; Blondie; Talking Heads; Yoko Ono; Grace Jones; The Cure; Radiohead; Nine Inch Nails; Depeche Mode; Roxy Music; etc as influences is not credible is beyond my comprehension.

Yay for Calvin! I won't comment 'Gaga vs. Calvin' theme, I love both songs. But Gaga has already been at #1 for three weeks! I want something new (but not that Liverpool Collective song  ), soooo.... Go Calvin!

The Calvin track is good, though I think it's less original than his previous interesting efforts. My least favourite song of the top5, but the top5 is amazing so it's not a bad thing :P
