We will be doing another review in a few weeks, this is just round one - so don't worry (or maybe worry if you have an AF?). We will not archive AFs that we can see are still working and have some community. We considered Green Day for a while, but as someone has already said, there wasn't even a topic on the new album in there!

Only a few more, tbh - this is just a necessary cull. it has been coming for a long time, and will be nice to get it sorted to make it look a bit fresher.

how many more forums will go i wonder,,,i think the ones left that werent axed in the first list are doing well although i do agree im surprised jennifer lopez and especially the libertines survived the first cull

It'll be sad to see the Avril and Evanescence forums archived. :snif: .... but understandable.

 

 

Unfortunately the decision had to be done in the end, we do have 72 optional forums, and that's quite a long list, and some of those forums there was hardly anyone posting in them, with topics still from last year on page 1 of some forums.

 

Which brings the question why do 50 yes votes or whatever, and some of those 50 don't even post in the forum.

 

There are others which didn't make the final cut of round one but we are looking into them for phase 2.

Thats a perk of being a mod I guess - you can cunningly edit posts without it showing up.

Because for months we were highly inactive after all our posters vanished

I know its gonna happen no matter what I have to say but I'm really not happy about Aerosmith who have just announced a tour and are finishing off a new album. :cry:

acth Libertines has been reasonably active recently.

 

although seems to have died a bit again recently.

I think it is fair enough. There has never been much interest in the BSB forum, so much so that even as the Mod I rarely venture in there. I think this is the best move, as those who are fans of these artists will most likely find somewhere else to talk about them if they wish which are more active for that artist. :)
