Oh, and Morrison v. Benjamin has been added to the PPV. I know, I was thinking "WTF?", a mid-card match with no title or (real) star making a WWE PPV is unheard of these days. But it's great, and I'm guessing it's coming from Stephanie's new initiative to create new main event talent.

I know. MVP is going to be one of the stars WWE are focused on progressing in the next few months though (along with Morrison, Knox, Ziggler & others).

 

Anyway, JD thoughts:

 

Orton v. Batista - Borefest. Orton can't save this match. Batista has been even more stale since returning, and I can't stand the guy. Maybe a HHH run in, costing Batista the match in error? I'm not sure. H is scheduled for House shows following JD, but I think they'll work a gimmick match at Extreme Rules.

Edge v. Hardy - This should be good. Dear God I hope the title doesn't change hands again.

Cena v. Big Show - Everyone talks about how Cena v. Edge was stale...

Jericho v. Mysterio - I'm so looking forward to this. I smell a title change, not that I need Jericho being crowned IC champion for the 57th time.

CM Punk v. Umaga - Yes! I want Umaga to go over, only because he's the most deserved "monster" heel in years. It's in Chicago, though, so who knows.

Christian v. Swagger - Their Backlash match was good, and I'd expect this to follow that trend. Christian is going over here, that's a near certainty (one would imagine...).

Morrison v. Benjamin - I don't care who wins this, it doesn't really matter, but I'm thrilled this made the card.

 

I've got a feeling it'll be a good show. For wrestling, it's the most interesting WWE card in some time. And, it's telling that there's not one gimmick match.

 

Oooh good stuff that Morrison Vs Benjamin is added should be one hell of an althletically great match :D

The PPV started on a MASSIVE High, it was soooo good. Until Big Show vs John Cena! Then Jeff vs edge, although still decent, not the best they could have done :(

 

LOVEthe fast ending to Punk and Umanga's ( :kink: ) match!

Yeah, the first four matches were really strong. Especially Jericho v. Mysterio. I'm hoping this feud continues past "Extreme Rules"...

Orton v. Batista was better than expected, but it still blew. It's as if WWE really don't know how to book Orton, like they're confused on his gimmick.

Cena v. Show was boring as hell, but it was saved by Cena's sell job.

Edge v. Hardy was a bit of an anti-climax to a good PPV, but it delivered.

Amazing loads of matches. Especially Y2J vs Mysterio & Morrison V Benjamin. Two stand outs, plus i have to agree Show Vs Cena was boring as hell but i was pleased the better man won :D
