well if aly's right and it's probably not true then good, I think this is probably the overrated one on the album. it's k though. just 'notice' would be a LOT better.

Sadly I can sense another flop :(

this is a nice song, and it would be good for her to release a ballad- but I agree You'll Never Get to Heaven is much better

  • 1 month later...

there's been a new song that diana's sung at many live performances, called 'more than this':

it sounds great :D there's no studio version yet.

also, at the start of the video, she says it's from a new album out next year. :w00t: can't wait!

thats probably an indication that nothing further from the cherry tree era will be released and that she is concentrating on her 2nd album, i hope the 2 album can do at least reasonably well for her, shame wicked heart didnt sell better, its my favourite song from her to date and i fiond it so so catchy.
The "Songs from the tained cherry tree" era was a huge disappointment. I do and still adore the first two singles she released. I hope album 2 is a winner.
I liked the cherry tree era overall but id like the next album to be nearer to wicked heart than once style if you know what i mean.
I wasn't a fan of hers on XF but when she released her album I give it a listen and I had to but this track, it was the only one I loved. He voice usually grates on me but she sounds really good on it. I think it would be a brilliant single choice.
She confirmed in a twitter webchat that her re-release has been scrapped and she is moving onto album 2 which is 'nearly ready' :). I think she did well with the Cherry Tree era as she managed 500k sales with her album and 3 singles added together which is pretty good :D. Hopefully some new single news in January!
Im glad she if focusing on the 2nd albuym rather than a cherry tree re release, im looking forward to hearing the new material.

No, it's not pretty good. Even worse (sales wise) when you factor in the album and lead single being #1's!

I do look forward to her new album though. LOVE this album so much

To be honest I'm surprised she sold THAT much. It seemed the interest in her music faded the week the album came out. I know no-one with the album, and only a few people who like her!
I think their were high expectations really for Diana. She does pop music but it's not really commercial pop. Once was done to help push the album because it is a commericial type song. But the album as a whole wasn't full of potential commericial pop hits. Diana isn't in the same range of other british pop females like Leona, Alexandra or Pixie Lott. Her music is very different from them. It's a little bit indie.

Diana will need to work really hard to get another hit tbh. Like she did with Once, she was on the radio all the time for like the whole month preceeding the release, whilst with My Wicked Heart, I didn't really see much going on, apart from an X Factor performance.

A good song is the most important thing, and the second most important thing is getting radio to play the single.

Really? I'm not believing that somehow... 'Once' and the album combined sold 330k, are you really suggesting 'The Boy Who...' and 'My Wicked Heart' combined managed 170k?

Anyway, I am looking forward to the new album muchly but I don't know how she's gonna get radio on her side now...

mwh and tbwml both sold about 50k each, her album sold about 130-140k by now and once has probally sold 205,000 now

I love her but how has tbwml and mwh both sold 50k? A number 36 hit vs a number 13 hit were talking here.
