I Do Not Hook Up is even worse than MLWSWY, clearly the worst UK #1 since that Ja Rule song Wonderful, or whatever it was called.

 

The person I feel most sorry for is Kelly Clarkson. In performance, she sings these songs with absolutely no emotion. That's not how she performed on American Idol. She did well with soul and blues, and she wanted to record songs like those on the My December album. But since that didn't sell well, they are forcing her to record these Since You Been Gone copycats, which are awful. The magic will never be recreated, and I fear her career will soon be over.

 

Back to iTunes, it's thrilling that Fire is doing so well. Hopefully it will be #1 by noon tomorrow and #1 on Sunday.

I guess I'm biased, because I dislike Because of You and MLWSWY so much. I thought she just 'went through the motions' for her performances of MLWSWY on American Idol, Oprah, and Saturday Night Live. It was as though she couldn't wait for the song to finish. Other people told me they were not impressed with her either, and expected much more from an AI winner.

 

It's a bit frustrating because I liked her on season 1 American Idol and really haven't liked anything she's sung except for the song Breakaway.

 

I give up with Kelly now :( Come on Gaga, Saturdays & Agnes :D
