What a wonderful thread :o

V \ Ayumi Hamasaki 'Mirrorcle World' \ DNQ

Looking back I'm not surprised that this didn't qualify but at the time I thought it'd do great. I wasn't aware of how BJSC worked or that most people didn't really take to foreign language songs :heehee: Still a great song though. So frantic.

IX \ Michelle Williams 'Unexpected' \ DNQ

Ah, I was so gutted this didn't qualify! It only just missed out too. Brilliant, serene electropop which was sadly overlooked. To this day I'm not sure why.

X \ Shontelle 'T-Shirt' \ 12th

I understand why this didn't make the top 10 - most of the songs which do well in BJSC have something quirky or original about them whereas this is a very by-numbers Irreplacable-alike - but I still think it's a great song. Despite that I don't think it was cheap... not many people knew her or this song at the time, and I had been supporting her before anybody else here.

XI \ Paris Hilton 'Nothing In This World' \ 11th

I'm so not ashamed about this at all LOL. I maintain that World is one of Dr Luke's best efforts and Paris actually sounds pretty cute on it. The single was two years old at the time I'd sent it but I didn't think it mattered much since a lot of people didn't know it and it was hardly what you could call a hit :heehee: Anyway, this was my highest position until the last contest so hurrah for Paris.

XII \ Trina 'Single Again' \ DNQ

I remember convincing myself at the time that this had a shot! I guess that was fairly retarded since it's rap but the song is super-gay anyway so I thought it could cross over. Apparently not. Either way it's one of my favourite R&B/hip-hop songs ever

XIII \ Shaznay Lewis 'Never Felt Like This Before' \ DNQ

Another one that was an inch away from qualifying! Bad times for Jark. Really though this was an awfully slow month, I stumbled across this song for the first time in ages, remembered how much I love it and thought 'sod it' and BJSC-d it. Not a good move on reflection and certainly the last time I send a random old (sort-of) hit given how critical I've been of certain other countries doing that recently :heehee:

XIV \ Natalie Bassingthwaighte 'This Can't Be Love' \ 23rd

I truly think that this was my finest entry to date; genuinely a massive, amazing pop song. I'm properly perplexed as to why it didn't receive more votes because it's such a stomper with huge appeal. Perhaps it would've done better in the hands of another country. :heehee:

XV \ Se7en ft.Lil' Kim 'Girls' \ DNQ

Brilliantly relaxed, smooth R&B joint from the Japanese male pop star but I'm not at all surprised it flopped, given that BJSC tends to appreciate neither smooth R&B nor males! Still happy to have sent a song pretty much nobody knew though.

XVI \ Space Cowboy ft.Chelsea Korka 'Falling Down' \ 8th

My best finish so far! Not my best entry by any means and probably a little cheap given the RedOne sound is so overused now, but still, I don't believe it was widely-known and it's a proper party anthem. Clearly it wasn't too bad a choice :P

XVII \ Owl City 'Strawberry Avalanche' \ ???

Definitely wins the award for the best-titled song I've sent :heehee: I can't believe I've sent a male three contests running! That wasn't intentional or anything. I feel like this is something different for me, and hopefully it's instant but also quirky enough to win voters around... I'm not expecting top 10 though.

*

I think my entries have been pretty good actually. I'd have sent something else over Shaznay looking back but generally, lately especially, I always do my best to find a song which has appeal but also which isn't well-known and thus cheap.

Deep breathe:

BJSC V - The Tears - Lovers (18th)

Showing my more indie side at the time I had been pretty obsessed with Suede/ The Tears after realising this was the band one of my second cousins was front man for. 'Lovers' was at that time the most played track so it made sense to try and get it more well-known and see if others could appreciate it too.

BJSC VI - Chicane ft Tom Jones - Stoned In Love (11th)

The contest was quickly becoming a dance off with Fragma and N-Trance being on everyone's lips, going with the flow decided to send my personal favorite dance track in to the mix.

BJSC VII - Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer (DNQ)

Having learnt the ropes in the contest a little by this point I thought I'd found the perfect BJSC entry when Sophie released this on her MySpace a few weeks earlier - A well known artist with a relatively unknown upbeat dance song! I thought it was immense but unfortunately it obviously didn't have the impact necessary on my semi and we just missed out on qualifying. My devastation was helped slightly by it winning the Best Of: Rejects but I still feel this song should have done better.

BJSC VIII - Mutya Buena - Strung Out (23rd)

Being a little sad at not making the final in the previous contest I tried the same tactics again, what was in my opinion a great track from Mutya's flop solo album. I see now that the song wasn't really right for BJSC, being far too slow at the start and taking aages to get to the good bit so can see why it only finished 23rd despite being immense.

BJSC IX - Margaret Berger - Will You Remember Me Tomorrow? (1st)

Running out of ideas for what to send I had a trall through my iTunes on my old PC and remembered Ms Berger. I loved the song and thought it couldnt do any worse than my previous two entries so while I looked for a really great entry for X I would send this. Her success completely threw me and still is a shock to me but the rest is history.

BJSC X - Roisin Murphy - Movie Star (11th)

A great electro track from an artist I've always followed closely and i couldn't have expected any more from it.

BJSC XI - Florence and the Machine - Kiss With a Fist (16th)

Brilliant track I discovered from the 4Music adverts. I thought it was genius and although i knew it was totally inappropriate then I sent it becuase I loved it! Since then i'd say she has become one of my favorite artists around, a true goddess of music.

BJSC XII - Belinda - At The End of the Day (5th)

I was all set to send Lights to this contest but with rumours of her releasing a music video soon i held off and went for Belinda. I'd stumbled across her whilst looking for the next Dame Maggie B and wasn't expecting her to do much after terrible predictions and odds but was delighted when she somehow went top 5! A beautiful South American unknown artist with a pure pop track, how could she fail?

BJSC XIII - Lights - Ice (6th)

The first song I sent which I thought hada chance of winning. Lights' EP is still one of my most played of all time and 'Ice' is both catchy and innovative! The resulting battle between her and Agnes was only ever going to have one result though, personally I think Lights suffered from a bit of overhype but I can't say I'm disappointed in her finishing 6th.

BJSC XIV - The Good Natured - How Can I Believe In You? (DNQ)

My favorite track from what is now my most played artist EVER - How could I not send this brilliant, unsigned, unknown electro-pop artist? After a couple of

contests aimed at doing well I thought it was about time I sent somethign which i didn't think would qualify but which I loved.

BJSC XV - Janet Leon - Breakaway (9th)

The entry I am most ashamed about sending - A disgraceful pop track which although very nice to listen to is typical of of what people think will do well in BJSC. I like the song but don't really think I should have sent it just becuase I thought it would do well.

BJSC XVI - Annie - Anthonio (21st)

Pure brilliance which i'd been waiting for months to leak so that i could send it. I thought it may crack the the top 20 but who cares where it finishes when it's such an immense track.

BJSC XVII - Lights - White (??)

I haven't had the time lately to find any new artists so instead of sending some Scandipop in search of a top ten I had a quick check through my most played songs on iTunes and with more plays than 'Ice' (despite being not quite as good) 'White' seemed the obvious choice.

Hmmm, Ice is definitely better than White but White is quite the grower!

And don't be ashamed of Breakaway, it's fantastic! :P It's not particularly cheap either as the material Rich premiered for her didn't quite alight my interest in her while Breakaway did! ^_^

Now, send Rosanna :heehee:

OMG @ the whole me not giving Bulletproof points backlash still going on.

1. I hated the song at the time.

2. I hated the fact that I unreserved it and didnt send it, although I wouldve sent Reflections.

3. I'd hate the fact of voting for a song I've already heard/gotten bored of/acquired hate for before the contest .

So obviously I don't get the whole idea why everyone's so fussed about it. I said before the voting I didnt like it all too much. Torchwood is 3rd in my voting history. Helloo. Me and James like secretely love each other, we're BJSC neighbours bla bla bla.

how is this a secret?

IX - Marit Larsen - DNQ - SF 15th - 43 Points

I remember I was a dark horse, and everyone said it would qualify, but it didn't, best track from her.

X - Marion Raven - Here I Am - 17th - 79

Since I had sent a M2M member I had to send the other one too, so I sent my fave track from Marion, Here I Am.. a very strong refrain.

XI - Lene Marlin - Sitting Down Here - 14th - 84 Points

This one I wasn't sure about, but I sent it, I didn't have as much hope for it, but waoh it got my best position so far!

XII - If a Song Could Get Me You - DNQ - SF 16th - 44 points

Since Marit Larsen had done it bad in the first I thought I could fix it with her new song which was a hit in Norway, but again she Floped.

XIII . Margaret Berger - Samantha - 24th - 54 Points

I was desperate to do well, so why don't send a previous winner? she did a 4th place in the semi final, but in the final she only came 24th! BOOO!!

XIV - Nightwish - Amaranth - DNQ - SF 22nd - 23 Points

My biggest flop.. I hoped alot of people would like when I sent something diffrent and not Norwegian, nope.. rock from Finland didn't work for me as it did for Finland in 2006.

XV - Tone Damli Aaberge - I Know - DNQ - SF 15th - 56 Points

I first confirmed Maria Mena, but then I got to change so I sent Tone - Butterflies, but then it got banned so I sent Tone - Fever, but just after I had confirmed Fever I saw a new release from Tone on TV so I asked nicely to change it to I Know, it didn't qualify *dissepointed*

XVI - Linda Teodosiu - Love Sux - DNQ - SF 15th - 43

WHAT!? I didn't qualify with this? My biggest flop ever, great song from Germany, and I had to go trough days with Botanikka reserving Linda before me.. *cry*

XVII - Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor - ?? - ??

Personally my best song to date, I really think this can make me having my best position ever

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Spin Off's=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Spin off I - UK #10 - Alexia - Uh La La La - DNQ - SF 14th - 31

Blææ, I had to find something quickly before the confirmation closed. So this was the best #10 I could find who still was not taken, thou later I found so much better, still a lovly track, but not something I loved

Spin off II - Foreign Language - Sichelle - f*** Deg - 5th - 89 Points

OMG! this was amazing for me, finally I reached top 5! with one of my fave song in my own language! first time I didn't send something foreign was in a foreing language contest! lol

Why does this post seem like you're blaming everyone else, when it was only ME who commented on it? (as a JOKE might I add -_-) You take things FAR too seriously Kath!

Now, send Rosanna :heehee:

I haven't had any urge to to listen to Breakaway since the contest, there are so many other songs which sound pretty much the same

I think Rosanna would be great but I'd only send 'Gameboy' and that is your track so... meh

oh and Camille is not your biggest acheivement in BJSC - Little Boots, la Roux and Erik Hassle and you rate that pile of **** as your greatest achievement - Seriously?!!

Jark - Mirrorcle World was FANTASTIC! And still is! One of my favourite entries to BJSC of all times!
I actually prefer "White" to "Ice".

 no you don't - listen to them again :P

BJSC VII - Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home (25th)

Did quite well, I was glad to make it to the final, didn't realise it was so cheap at the time :P but it took me a fair while to grasp the concept of the contest :P

BJSC VIII - ABBA - The Day Before You Came (DNQ)

This was a risky move, I was still finding my feet (It took until XI before I really got into the swing :P)

BJSC IX - Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus - Get Ready, Get Set, Don't Go (DNQ)

Yet more evidence of how I was too young to truly understand the contest, wtf much ;|?

BJSC X - Dido - Look No Further (DNQ)

A comeback single from quite a big artist, I'd hoped it would qualify, but in the end, it wasn't great

BJSC XI - Ana Free - In My Place (DNQ)

The first little known artist I sent, I love this song and think it deserved a top 10 finish, I was gutted when it DNQ'd.

BJSC XII - Wondergirls - Nobody (DNQ)

Another amazing unknown song which again should've qualified, tbh everyone hated me at this time, I'd sent two winners in a row and not even made the final [/joke]

BJSC XIII - NKOTB ft Lady GaGa - Big Girl Now (DNQ)

My moment of desperation, a good song, which I found with some help :kink: it still wasn't good enough to make it though

BJSC XIV - Velvet - Take My Body Close (3rd)

An amazing Swedish dance song which some tipped to win, it put Nickodonia on the map and brought me up from the pit of the least successful country

BJSC XV - Mira Craig - I'm The One (27th)

A lovely song from Mira's best album to date, I expected it to finish last so I'm really happy with its performance.

BJSC XVI - Laura Marling - Ghosts (23rd)

I was short of ideas, so sent this. I didn't expect it to make it and I was very happy with its final position

BJSC XVII - AySel - Say Maybe (DNQ)

 Why? This song is amazing, deffo should've won, AySel is a goddess and this is her best song to date.

So adding it up I should have four wins by now :P

;)

Yes I do :D

La Roux is verging on an equal achievement, but I consider Camille a bigger one as it doesn't sound at all like the kind of thing that would do well...I poured about a week's effort into promoting Camille so I was very pleased with top 10! Unlike Erik and La Roux, who both sound very BJSC-friendly ^_^

great topic, here are mine :D

I - Delta Goodrem - Believe Again - 17th - an absolute epic, a sensational 6 minute masterpiece of drama, beautiful strings, and by the best singer in the world...I couldn't have sent anybody else to the first contest, as it had been No.1 in my chart for 12 weeks!!! And it flopped hard, perhaps because I sent a live version, perhaps because people didn't 'get' the song...either way, I'm not ashamed of this one

II - Natasha Bedingfield - Stumble - 18th - another of my favourite singers, this was a track from her first US album and generally unheard of here despite being a gorgeous ballad...I really wanted people to hear it and was a tad disappointed when it did even worse than Delta...but there we go...Natasha has the BJSC curse :heehee:

III - Andreas Johnson - Glorious - 8th - the one and only time I've sent a song purely to get a good result, I was certain that this would give me a first top ten (despite being sung by a male), even though the song was indeed as cheap as chips, being a very well remembered top 5 hit from 2000, still used in many TV shows and trailers...oh well, I love Andreas and this song is a classic!

IV - Sara Bareilles - Love Song - 1st - This had been hanging around my chart for about 4 months, but by this point it had just become a hit in the US...it had no planned UK release so I thought I'd send it so that people could finally hear the song I'd been raving about for ages. I honestly thought it would be a mid table finisher and was amazed that it won, narrowly beating the song I gave 12 points, Pull Shapes by The Pipettes

V - Sibel - Make Believe - 8th - Being absolutely obsessed with Melodifestivalen, I got Sibel's album (based on the glorious ballad That Is Where I'll Go) and was surprised to stumble across this mid-tempo song which was like the spiritual successor to Delta Goodrem's Lost Without You. I adored it at the time but it left my chart quickly and is probably my least favourite entry personally...

VI - Untouched - Smack Me - 5th - I had one of the free subscriptions to Music Week this time last year and one issue came with a free CD of artists from the Liverpool arts academy performing their own material. The album was absolute rubbish apart from this gem which I just had to send to BJSC, an electropop stormer, perhaps a tad tacky, but excellent nonetheless...it later became my 'woohoo I've passed my driving test anthem' after I hammered it for hours just after I'd passed :heehee: I believe a certain other country likes this track more than I do though :P

VII - Maria & Mira - Mine All Mine - 3rd - It's a shame this came up against I Kissed A Girl and Just Dance because this remains one of my favourite BJSC entries to date. I knew instantly the moment Maria walked off stage in ESC that I had to send her, so I reserved her without a track in mind, then listened to her album, and this track jumped right out at me. A glorious pop-soul duet with the fantastic much deeper voiced Mira Craig, with a bit of radio promotion, this could have been a huge UK hit last year...but it was not to be...amazed it finished top 5 in the best of too!!! BJSCVII remains my favourite contest to date, I was so pleased with how this song was received as I expected mid-table for this

VIII - Thermostatic - Driving - 19th - with Mdice and MKL unable to host, I took the job and instantly qualified for the final, and after a last minute switch from the even more doomed Multicyde's Not For The Dough, I went with a subtle Swedish dance track, which was perhaps just a bit too subtle for BJSC, and indeed picked up very few votes, making it one of the worst host performances to date...I still love it though and am glad it was a bit different compared to the other VIII entries, one of the infamous cheap contests!

IX - Sanna Nielsen - Nobody Without You - 4th - Another Melodifestivalen favourite, Sanna's album took a while longer to leak but when it did I snapped this one up instantly, it's so incredibly Eurovision, it was obvious that it was written alongside Empty Room with the intention of being an MF contender, exactly 3 minutes long with a thundering ESC-style dramatic climax at the end. I was rather amazed that this came as high as 4th but glad that so many people liked it, brilliant that it made the final of the Best Of too!!!

X - Mira Craig - Headhunted - DNQ - The shame, FSR Rontvia's first DNQ, I honestly had this one down to win, which shows you not to be so overconfident or you'll fall flat on your face :heehee: I absolutely adore this song and have done since the first time I heard it, musically it's one of my favourite entries. A very odd chant like song from Mira who is looking to hire somebody, it had all of the ingredients to be a love-hate song, and it didn't disappoint, provoking one of the most memorable outbursts ever on BJSC, half of the people absolutely hating it and the other half adoring it...I was a bit gutted that it missed out on qualification, but pleased that it finished top 3 in the rejects!!! I do think this would have been a more deserving qualifier than loads of my qualifiers though!!!

XI - Pixie - Boys & Girls - 3rd - A random MySpace search threw up this obviously upcoming singer...the song instantly sounded like the song Sugababes should have come back with and I knew I just had to send it, so instant, so catchy and so 2008! So of course, it's set to be a 2009 single in a couple of months time :heehee: Pixie was the subject of my biggest ever promo tour, complete with Louis Walsh and Natasha Bedingfield 'photo opportunities' but something told me that this girl might do alright! Glad I was right, very proud with this top 3 finish

XII - Vincent - Miss Blue - DNQ - After a string of females, I decided that it was time that FSR Rontvia went male, so I looked to Sweden and pop-ska-ish singer Vincent Pontare...Miss Blue is an absolute pop gem with a killer chorus and a bassline that reminds me of a slightly sped up version of I Kissed A Girl...Picking up lowish votes from most countries in its semi-final, it came heart breakingly close to the final but just missed out and became FSR Rontvia's 2nd DNQ...a shame, but it happens!

XIII - The Sound Of Arrows - M.A.G.I.C. - 2nd - Dismayed at how badly Vincent had done, I was not giving up until I had sent a male act that had done well, so I looked to Sweden again and this glorious electro-pop track from a quirky male duo. An incredibly uplifting song, the song spent 5 weeks at the top of my personal chart, the best a song has ever done for me purely because it was a BJSC entry. It finished 2nd to Agnes' Release Me just a few short weeks after somebody had suggested that Swedish pop would never win the contest :heehee: I was happy with this result as I prefer Release Me to M.A.G.I.C. so it was only right that the best song of XIII, and indeed the best song I've heard in years, took the crown!!! 2nd was a stunning result though and satisfied my desire to do well with a male act, and completed my feat of finishing at every position in the top 5!

XIV - Uh Huh Her - Not A Love Song - 1st - I was a bit stuck for XIV but eventually it came down to 2 songs...this rather fantastic electropop song that I'd had on my iPod since mid-2008 but never properly appreciated, or Let Go by Janet Leon, a Ryan Tedder style R&B ballad...Janet almost became my entry but I decided that a lesbian duo with a 'Love Song' ten contests after I'd won with the last one was too hard to resist...I however, didn't expect it to do well at all, particularly as XIV was the cheapest contest in the history of the BJSC...however, it somehow kept picking up points and I was absolutely shocked as I expected it to come low top 20 at best...perhaps one of the most shocking winners!?! I'm so glad that it did though

XV - Emiliana Torrini - Jungle Drum - 6th - Originally opting for another Pixie track, this was followed by numerous large debates and me stepping down as mod and host of XV...this made me realise that Pixie was far too safe and I decided to enter this track, that I'd heard about half an hour before confirming!!! A very short and snappy, instant song with a memorable hook and even enough room to squeeze in a key change before the end, it was perfect for Rontvia at that moment in time and I was very impressed that it came 6th...I reckon this one will be back and big before the year's out, it's currently huge across Europe!!!

XVI - Blänk feat Young Ivy - I'm Going For Your Brother - 10th - It was time for another risk, so I went back to Sweden, although the depths of Northern Sweden this time for this charming dance/rap crossover track which I thought had the potential to bomb, mainly due to the rap, and the fact that subtle dance is not a genre that does terribly well in BJSC, as proven by Thermostatic. However, I felt that this had a stronger hook than Driving and thought that it was worth the risk. Love love love the song and was amazed that it made the top ten!!! This is why I love BJSC, for the fact that whilst looking out for entries I sometimes stumble across gems such as this

XVII - Beautiful Small Machines - Robots In Love - ? - Not sure how this one's going to go down, it seems to have had a good reaction so far but it's another unknown song by an unknown act so it's incredibly hard to tell. Nevertheless, to me it is an absolutely perfect electropop track with a huge charm to it from a male/female duo from New York...I'm not sure that it will do as well as some of the odds suggest, but as long as a handful of people are introduced to new track that they love, that is mission accomplished for me! Anything else is a bonus

Why does this post seem like you're blaming everyone else, when it was only ME who commented on it? (as a JOKE might I add -_-) You take things FAR too seriously Kath!

Well no  James, Rabbitfurcoat and Trash have also brought it up since the last contest and each time it's brought up I get the idea that people are implying I don't vote fairly but strategicaly or for the person which as most know is never the case.. That's all.

04 ● Polina Gagarina - Kolybelnaya 20th/20

It was a good start. No semis :kink:

05 ● tATu - Gomenasai 1st/27

 My 2nd contest and a win. Was so over the hills!

06 ● Adele - Hometown Glory 11th/29

The name of my country is only due to 'Adele' word springing to my mind at the time I needed to choose the name for my country. Spell it backwards and add an 'n'. And the song was OMG. Still one of my favourites.

07 ● Natasha Bedingfield - I Bruise Easily 19th/27

WTF? I didn't think with my brains when choosing it. LOLZ :(

08 ● Sergey Lazarev - Girlfriend 26th/27

It NEEDED to be sent  Thought it could have finished a bit higher but then again I'm lucky it managed to qualify. A lush song

09 ● Morandi - Angels 17th/26

AHH. The best male entry I've sent. Not regretting a bit.

10 ● Maria Mena - Just Hold Me 13th/27

Finished criminally low. :arrr: Amazing ballad but ballads hardly do well on here. :(

11 ● Lenka - The Show 1st/27

No comments. A pure perfection. And it wasn't on the release schedule at the time... and even 3 months later. :P

12 ● Elisha Keen - Love Soldier 26th/28

Now looking back I should've sent The Polite and see what would be. But this song is very good too!

13 ● Anjulie - Boom 25th/28

A very different direction for me... one of my least significant entries but I'm in love with it quite a lot too.

14 ● Private - Killer On The Dancefloor 22nd/27

This was LUSHHH  Was so meant to go Top 10. Amazing tune!

15 ● Hande Yener - Romeo DNQ

Had it been sung in english it'd have qualified. I'm so sure. -_- Romeo is fantastic! I introduced myself to Hande and now her last album "Hayrola?" is one of my favourite albums of the year.

16 ● Caroline Af Ugglas - Snälla Snälla DNQ

This was meant to be entered  f***ing destiny. Poor Caroline :snif: Vote in the Rejects Comp. :kink: ... Oh and it's my favourite song I've sent to-date!

17 ● Marit Bergman - Bang Bang 0?st/29 :kink:

 Could've sent it instead of Romeo and probably should've... but glad to have experienced my first DNQ not with Caroline Af Ugglas

FL Spin-off ● Seeed - Ding 13th

A SHOCK! A pure shock! 13th place for a german rap-raggae song in BUZZJACK song contest?! People definitely liked it. And I've been loving it for about 3 years now.

#10's Spin-off ● Travis - Closer Last in the Final

Was surprised it got through :o But extremely pleased! Changed it last minute from Mel C's Next Berst Superstar, and btw I was considering sending Pink's U&UR Hand but never would've thought it was going to win!

Regrets: 2/16 (Natasha & Elisha Keen)

To tell in brief - MY ENTRIES FTW! :cheer:

Edited by Pavel

VI - Untouched - Smack Me - 5th - I had one of the free subscriptions to Music Week this time last year and one issue came with a free CD of artists from the Liverpool arts academy performing their own material. The album was absolute rubbish apart from this gem which I just had to send to BJSC, an electropop stormer, perhaps a tad tacky, but excellent nonetheless...it later became my 'woohoo I've passed my driving test anthem' after I hammered it for hours just after I'd passed :heehee: I believe a certain other country likes this track more than I do though :P

A certain two other countries :kink:

To be fair to Peter, he did say that if Agnes didn't win he didn't see Swedish pop ever winning! :P

a very fair comment seeing as Release Me is the best Swedish pop song I've ever heard :P

The string of diappointments:

BJSC II DNQ - Air - Cherry Blossom Girl

Well, this is one of my favourite songs ever, but seems that view is not shared by many!

BJSC VII 13 - Beth Rowley - Oh My Life

My first time at 13th, and I still love this. It was calling me as there was a huge billbaord for her album near my house at the time.

BJSC VIII 20 - Gwen Stefani – Wonderful Life

An oldie(ish) but utter goldie from Gwen and one of the best tracks she has ever done. Flopped though!

BJSC IX 10 - Alizee – Moi Lolita

My most successful entry to date and only top 10! A forgotten French classic from the early 00s.

BJSC X DNQ - Sigur Ros - Ara Batur

Ever feel like you chose the wrong Sigur Ros song?!

BJSC IX 21- Those Dancing Days - Run Run

What a great song! This prompted me to download their album and I found it by the related video thing on youtube.

BJSC XII 13 - Chairlift - Bruises

13th again thanks to an i-pod advert!

BJSC XIII 13 - Le Corps Mince de Françoise – B*tch of the B*tches

Aaaand 13th again, but with what I think is my favourite ever entry. I must choose them again soon.

BJSC XIV 27 - Sneaky Sound System - I Love It

Tbh, the flop of this still surprises me - it just screams BJSC!

BJSC XV 13 - Passion Pit - Sleepyhead

13th for a change! Passion Pit are just waiting to be discovered by the masses. And this was on Skins for about 10 seconds!

BJSC XVI DNQ - Howling Bells - Into The Chaos

Well, I love this song, even if no-one else does!
