Billie Jean has dropped to 17, but Smooth Criminal is on fire now - up to 14 :o

The second highest version of Billie Jean is also climbing rapidly to 22

Second version of Black Or White is at 41, with the top version at 39

Beat It seems to be falling a bit too, at 27 now but it has many versions lower down

I Want You Back is up to 18 :o

I reckon MITM, Thriller, SC, BJ, IWYB and BI will defo chart top 40 next week, and possibly also any out of Ben, BOW, YANO and BIOTB. So, 6-10, but very unlikely all of the last four will make it. I would guess about 7 or 8 top 40 next week (and 3 maybe 4 this week)

As for top 75, there will be a lot more next week - the top 15 or so tracks atm may well all make it.

MITM, Thriller and Billie Jean/Smooth Criminal/both will make top 40 this week imo.

Most of the MJ tracks seems to be trailing off now, any tracks in the top 30 are probably guaranteed a place in the top 40 official chart, its looking more likely 6-8 maximum at the moment.

I don't agree - they'll only have 2 days sales(*) vs 7 days for the others, so only those in the iT T15 might go T40 overall *this* week.

(*) excluding their underlying trickle sales, in case anyone wants to get pedantic. :P

As for next week, it all depends how long the sales boost lasts, and also whether it switches more towards albums.

There are so many different versions of his songs on itunes thanks to Sony's relentless re-releasing of his music!

It would be great if he managed to achieve a No1 single or album after his death. That would be a fitting tribute to the man and his music. RIP Michael Jackson.

Smooth Criminal is is best! Recent songs like 'Boom Boom Pow' in particular are obviously influenced by it. (Well, over time have came to be influenced).

Oh and Man In The Mirror is #1 in the US iTunes Chart.

Big Top 40 #1 is looking likely to be MJ.

As quoted, but take this with a pinch of salt, Bizarre column in the Sun

"The Official Charts company yesterday told me they expected to see a number of Jackson singles enter the top 10 on the strength of download sales"

Sure... what I can see so far, only 1 track will chart top 10 -_- unless I'm missing something

I think they must mean next week, where we could probably get 3 MJ songs top 10 - MITM, Thriller and SC

Somebody asked me my favourite MJ songs yesterday - and they were Smooth Criminal & Man In The Mirror, so it's amazing that they are the songs flying. And, I think a lot of music is partly influenced by Michael.

Tigerlily by La Roux is actually, I just listened to it and it had a section like the part in Thriller with a creepy voice talking

The thing is, MJ singles catalogue is large including the Jackson 5 hits, so people are not downloading the same track over and over again apart from the obvious ones, that's why I can't see the top 40 chart amassing more than 6-8, but some of them will start to wane. I think about 6 will chart tomorrow inside the top 40. Just have to wait and see what happens.

Yeah, the catalogue fro Jackson/Jackson 5/The Jacksons is absolutely massive, so obviously some will stall and fluctuate. It just happens that MITM is the most popular. Overall, he's still selling a massive amount of singles (and albums too of course)

Also in MJ news, Smooth Criminal has overtaken Thriller. Who knows why it took so long to take off?

Dirty Diana has (re?)entered the top 40 at 40, with the second version of Black Or White still scratching at the door of the 40
