I never took part in the first few contests because initially it seemed to be all about voting for your favourite songs.

 

BJSC VI was the contest that convinced me to participate (from VII onwards) because I was genuinely chuffed to see a live performance by Beverley Knight and a brilliant demo by Lily Allen beat a monster worldwide #1 hit and very Buzzjack friendly track into third place.
