1) YAY! Jason Mraz climbed

2) YAY! They're playing Jason Mraz

I'm back into it this week actually :o

Even WITH the MJ songs, this manages to make top 40 again? :manson:

I'd much rather another MJ song! :(

He performed it earlier in the week on I don't know what. But it propelled him to #28 on iTunes but then obviously loads of MJ & TJ songs shot infront on thursday night/friday morning.

This song has an amazing chart run for a song peaking at 11. Reminds me of the run Lonestar had back in the day with Amazing.

Still Hate the song though :P

:arrr:

Hearing this awful Jason Mraz track makes me wish the weather went downhill and rained all summer like when Rihanna - Umbrella topped the charts.

How can something this bland have been in the chart for so long?

Because it's a summery song.

I'm back into it this week actually :o

Me too!

Scott Mills: 'Jason Mraz, Up Yorr .. er, I was about to say something else then, I'm Yours Up to this weeks number 35.'

Has he been on the Vino? :P

Aww, so nice to hear Noisettes :)

Love NFY, but it won't make T30 now because of the King's death.

Scottish kitsch-dance producer, Calvin Harris, burst on to the UK music scene with his tongue-in-cheek single, "Acceptable In The 80s", which reached number 10 in the UK singles chart. A blend of retro synth sounds, and knowing lyrics it set the template for Harris' debut full length, I CREATED DISCO, released in June 2007. The album was preceded by Harris' second single, "The Girls", which upping the ante with it's ironic claims of sexual attractiveness--set to a synth sample from the Human League--the single shot top number 3 in the single charts. - HMV

U.K. singer Lily Allen is the daughter of the notorious British actor/comedian Keith Allen, and her father's sharp sense of humour is reflected in the music on her highly acclaimed 2006 debut full-length, ALL RIGHT STILL. Following the runaway success of the single "Smile"--which hit the top spot on the U.K. singles chart--the album is blend of pop-reggae, hip-hop, and U.K. R&B delivered with witty lyrical barbs and a chart-friendly pop sheen. While her brash outspokenness has made her a media fixation in England. - HMV

Her voice and veneer call up Amy Winehouse, but with a punk pop bent, bubblegum pinup style, and an affinity for 1980s rock themes; Katy Perry burst onto the top 40 on both sides of the Atlantic in the late 2000s. She gathered a cult following in late 2007 with the metrosexual-boyfriend-tweaking single "U R So Gay." Her star exploded when she went to the same well again with the dance pop-infused ode to fluctuating sexuality "I Kissed a Girl" (not a Jill Sobule cover), a teaser to the diverse debut, ONE OF THE BOYS. A surprising knack for hooks allowed Perry to sustain a career beyond one-note, and in 2009 she was a major player at both the Grammy and Brit Awards. - HMV

Next weeks chart is going to be even more interesting in my opinion, we could see as many as 15 MJ/J5 tracks in the top 40!
great song from The Noisettes!!! I wish they played Lily Allen or Katy Perry :(
