July 5, 200917 yr I know I'm most certainly not, it's nothing but an inferior rip off of 'Just Dance' with BAD lyrics. Exactly! Just a deliberate attempt to make money, just a copy of one of the biggest songs of the year. It's just annoying. Michael really deserved this!
July 5, 200917 yr I'm glad MJ isn't number one, hes had it before with the song, better to give new songs the chance... I hope this MJ thing dies down soon, people buying them are just helping to pay off his debts, he was a stupid man in life wasting so much money and we shouldnt help get rid of them for him! ha lol
July 5, 200917 yr Yes! Really happy for Cascada to get a number 1! Yes it's not as good as 'Everytime We Touch' or 'What Hurts the Most', but what can we do? I can imagine this being a short lived number 1 though :( I guess it'll be having steady drops until the week AFTER Now 73 (When everyone has probably cherry picked it and stuff). I hope I'm wrong though.
July 5, 200917 yr I do like the new Cascada song, but MJ did deserve it more than them. It's kinda a win-win with me
July 5, 200917 yr I'm glad MJ isn't number one, hes had it before with the song It only made #21 before, this is the highest it's ever been.

July 5, 200917 yr Just realized there have been 6 Number 1s in the past two months (2000 anyone?) Hardly. 2002, 2003, perhaps. Nowhere near 2000 or 1999.

And MITM has a powerful and meaningful message
July 5, 200917 yr Sugababes - Freak Like Me playing now - Good recovery song. Edited July 5, 200917 yr by zenon
July 5, 200917 yr Erm, isn't all chart music out to do that? Yeh, but as I said Cascada is just a deliberate attempt to do it. There is absolutely no talent or originality there. It's just copying a popular sound from someone else for the sole of purpose of making money and gaining success. At least other artists are more creative. Edited July 5, 200917 yr by mateo2k6
July 5, 200917 yr Can anyone put me the chartrun of Never Forget You and Wild Young Hearts of Noisettes?

That sound has been around way before Gaga...
July 5, 200917 yr You know Cascada would not have made that song if it hadn't been for "Just Dance". Being inspired by other artists is good but to me this is just mimicking

July 5, 200917 yr 15 Jamie T - Sticks 'N' Stones [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/VSCDT1991.JPG Chart Run: 15 [1 wk] Release date: 29-6-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: VSCDT1991 Label: VIRGIN From the same fertile 'Thamesbeat' scene that spawned the Mystery Jets and the Guillemots, U.K. singer-songwriter Jamie T was London's own answer to the Streets. His debut single, "Sheila," displayed the influence of reggae and scrambled lo-fi pop, and grazed the U.K. Top 20. His profile was further boosted by a successful remix of the Gorillaz track "Kids With Guns," and his second single, "If You've Got the Money," was an even bigger hit. PANIC PREVENTION, the debut album (named after a club night he had run), furthered both T's hit-making status and his artistic credibility when it was released in early 2007 - HMV Video here: track listing 1. Sticks And Stones 2. St Christopher 3. On The Green 4. Dance Of Young Professionals, The Chart history (Year peak title): 2006 15 Sheila 2006 13 If You Got The Money 2007 09 Calm Down Dearest 2009 15 Sticks N Stones Discussion Thread Here Good tune from Jamie T. but it not as great as his first tune "Shiela"
July 5, 200917 yr They do modern euro-dance, a bit like Basshunter. So yeah, they're dance indeed they are definitely dance, be it euro-dance/trash or whatever, and I don't feel the need to defend my love for Cascada to anyone to be honest, I like the music and that's all there is to it trashy or not, it really doesn't bother me
July 5, 200917 yr 1 Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor [P] *1st week at #1* http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDGLOBE1179.JPG Chart Run: 1 [1 wk] Release date: 29-6-2009 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: CDGLOBE1179 Label: UMTV Anglo-German trio's thumping trance-pop anthems have been big sellers across the UK and Europe and garnered them a plethora of awards. Fronted by Natalie Horler, Cascada's debut album EVERYTIME WE TOUCH (2006) included three UK top ten singles. The winning formula was repeated with their follow-up PERFECT DAY (2007) - HMV Video here: track listing 1. Evacuate The Dancefloor [radio edit] 2. Evacuate The Dancefloor [extended mix] Chart history (Year peak title): 2006 02 Everytime We Touch 2006 04 Truly Madly Deeply 2007 08 Miracle 2007 46 A Never Ending Dream 2007 10 What Hurts The Most 2008 51 What Do You Want From Me? 2008 28 Because The Night 2009 01 Evacuate The Dancefloor Discussion Thread Here This is sadly #1 song in the charts this week and unlike past weeks, this tune doesn't belong to be #1 especially with Michael Jackson all over the charts this week. I predict next week we will see a series of new entries and re-entries becuase of MJ and in the words of Casey Kasem who did his final show after 39 years on the air "Keep Your Feet On The Ground and Keep Reaching For The Stars".
