'Crying Lightning' is not the best thing they've done (imo) but lyrically its superb, and it's a favourite of the band which is why it's been released as the lead single.

 

Arctic Monkeys are just gaining momentum at the moment. I don't think they'll fall as quick as everyone thinks they will, for one the single has only just premiered (and i'd expect Radio 1 to A/B list it straight away) and there's a great big advert on the front page for it (as well as it appearing in the Top 10 box for more promo). In a week or so it'll probably enter the unpredicatable stage where it will fall, but then suddenly rise as well because the promo for it will be staggered.

Arctic Monkeys have moved up to #6, Chipmunk down to #7.

I pretty sure it will be added straight to B-list, but A-list seems very, very unlikely these days.

Expected Arctics to get there before him, but I'm still certain they will fall away before TOO long.

 

Also VV is up to 19, and don't forget the Diamond Rings remix at #122 which means Chipmunk is probably #6 when combined (not #5 because MJ combined would be ahead of both Chip and Arctics)

How can these be climbing when ituenes store wont let you but uany thing cos of the stupid 1 year app aniversary! I found this out as i was about to buy Crying Lightning but wouldnt let me i went on the itunes forum and it says there has been and fault and will be fixied by miding :(
