Not as big as Leona's 'Run'/GaGa's 'Just Dance'/Lily Allen 'The Fear' though :kink:

Agree. Can't see this selling the quantities some on here are suggesting, given Leona's Run sales tally and iTunes lead in particular.

yes but you have to think of the of the sales of the songs below, i would expect Cascada to sell around 50k this week.
Leona had much more, but JLS is doing it without X Factor.

Indeed, with X Factor promotion it could be unbelievable.

I agree, I was only really saying that some of the estimates for JLS's sales are over-optimistic.

They've done exceptionally well to do it without a promo appearance on X Factor IMO.

But Leona was only promoting her single, just like JLS will be doing soon... (Which is what should be done...) Plus they held back the release a good 2 or 3 weeks before finally adding 'Run' to iTunes...

Which ever way you dress it up she still got exposure to her song in a prime time slot to an audience of 10 million people plus - so0mething which JLS havent been able to do as the X Factor isn't on at the moment - to say that that didn't have a positive effect on her sales seems wrong

Yep. I was talking about first week sales, which Leona promoted it on X Factor (or maybe after that, I forgot now...).

Agree, it definitely had a positive effect on her sales, without a doubt.

Leona just seems to be more able than anyone else to capitalise on an X Factor performance - including world-wide superstars and previous dud contestants. JLS seem to be one of the few acts that has actually come out the back end with decent material and a good launchpad.

Leona promoted it on X Factor, and then the digital release of the individual tracks on the album were delayed for 2 weeks whilst they capitalised (cleverly conned?! :P) the public to buy the album instead. :P

Yeah I guess so. But it just annoys me how people are making out that Promotion is a bad thing  I agree with Spiidey really, Leona seems to benefit more from an X Factor performance more than any other reality winner/artist etc... Yes fair play to JLS though for doing it without televised performances so far.

I also think JLS are actually helped by the fact they didn't sign with Simon Cowell, who would have NO DOUBT have turned them into another Westlife, churning out covers of sad, sloppy songs, rather than the RnB market which is much more suited for them (As this single is showing).

I hope all the above made sense ha! If not...

TOUGH :P
