Posted July 15, 200916 yr When was the last instrumental peaked inside the top 5, the only hits I can remember is Robert Miles with Children and DJ Quicksilva I think, if my memory serves me right, at the moment I can't remember any others.
July 15, 200916 yr Eric Prydz - Pjanoo last year at #2. :D Pjanoo was supposed to have vocals but for some reason Eric Prydz changed it.
July 15, 200916 yr I'm guessing this thread is inspired by Chicane. :kink: I hope Chicane goes top 5 Edited July 15, 200916 yr by eyr-B
July 15, 200916 yr Pjanoo was supposed to have vocals but for some reason Eric Prydz changed it. But the version charting doesn't have a vocal at all.
July 15, 200916 yr But the version charting doesn't have a vocal at all. I meant there were supposed to be vocals but it was decided the instrumental would be the finished version after all.

July 15, 200916 yr Darude - Sandstorm - Number 3 in 1999 Safri Duo - Played-A-Live - Number 3 in 2001
July 15, 200916 yr As far as I'm aware, only two instrumentals have charted in the top 100 this year - Eric Prydz - Pjanoo sneaked in at #100 for one week, and Escala - Palladio was a minor (#39) hit. I'm probably forgetting some though.
July 15, 200916 yr B)-->QUOTE(Dave B @ Jul 15 2009, 05:58 PM) 2654460[/snapback]You've all forgotten Crazy Frog and he went all the way to Number 1 :D We all try to forget it. The original Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros made number 24 in 2006.
July 15, 200916 yr Talking of instrumentals I've been trying to find the name of this dance instrumental I always hear whilst out. It has some Moroccan horn instrument used in the verses and then a wobbly more dancey chorus. ANYONE ABLE TO HELP?
July 15, 200916 yr The original Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros made number 24 in 2006. That wasn't an instrumental though, it had lyrics in Icelandic ;) The name means 'jump in puddles' Also Crazy Frog wasn't technically an instrumental as it did have a voice on it. (maybe we can get a big instrumental (sorta) hit at the end of July/start of August from Sub Focus :kink: who is #1 in my personal chart in two weeks...)
