Right, commencing BJSC XIX, there is a waiting list for participation for new countries as we are henceforth operation a limit of 51 countries per contest, or 52 depending on whether the winner hosts or not. If you participated in XVIII, then your place in the contest is automatically reserved, however, if you do not participate for a contest, then you will lose your reserved participation and it will be given to the first country on the waiting list! First come - first served!

Does this mean Scherzland and Frahliso do not participate in BJSC19, since they did not vote in the final :unsure: I might sound thick but I just want to clarify things since I'm helping out.

Scherzland are not participating in BJSC XIX since they have been online since Rich sent out the reminders and didn't send a PM informing him that they could not vote (for future reference for people, if you can't vote, as long as you inform the host it will generally be fine unless it's obviously due to negligence - i.e. you've had all week to vote and leave it until the last minute. If you genuinely don't have time though for unforeseen reasons, it's fine ;)). Frahliso however will be allowed to participate as they haven't been online since the reminders were sent out.

So assuming everyone confirms (although this is unlikely), we are already full up for XIX. Isn't there a rule that you can't register for BJSC until you've been a member for 3 months? Or am i getting confused LOL. But if so it seems a bit unfair to wait 3 months and THEN go onto a waiting list :S

I'm the kind of person that confirms their participation in Singapore airport and has the host confirm at the last minute while their somewhere over the pacific ocean between Hawaii and Los Angeles. And also gets up at 5am local time for results.
