Although Pink rose to prominence as an R&B singer in the classic `90s LaFace mould, a front displayed on her debut CAN'T TAKE ME HOME, it was when she took control of her own image in 2001 that she truly became an icon. While the Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes) composed hit "Get This Party Started" strayed not all that far from her initial dance-pop path, the remainder of M!SSUNDAZTOOD revealed an artist schooled in the punk tradition. Further recordings wandered down multiple paths, cementing Pink's reputation as a genre-bending pop songstress. - HMV

Can anyone understand why JLS' Umbrella isn't eligible for the chart? I don't really understand the situation. Why can't a B-side chart?
Not a bad start for Pink I guess!

Not too bad... it's her best this era IMHO... hope it goes top 10, and not just on airplay :kink:

Is this Eminem's next single?

Yes, apparently.

It's pretty stupid to release something that was already selling on being a buzz song  But that's what he did.

So this will most likely become only his second official single with a lead credit to miss the top ten (Scary Movies, 3am and Old Time's Sake don't really count)

Me neither - its at #107 today - which is rubbish for a song that started the midweeks in the top 10!

What the hell...

That defies logic o_o

Even if it suddenly is allowed to chart today, why at #109? hey must have only been counting sales from a certain point in the week.

Also, I think I predicted #41 for Melanie F... not sure. Sucks that she missed out though =/

Also, GREEN DAY! :o

Coming out of the grass-roots Gilman St. punk scene of the early-1990s Bay Area, Green Day exploded into the mainstream with their third album, 1994's DOOKIE. The trio's punk energy and pop hooks, influenced by first-generation punks like the Buzzcocks, in turn inspired a huge legion of punk-pop followers. Their energy level flagged a bit following the smash success of DOOKIE, but the band's enormously successful 2004 Grammy-winning political concept album, AMERICAN IDIOT, proved they were mature artists and far from a one-trick pony. - HMV
