March 25, 20205 yr I bought it and really liked it at the time but age has not been as kind to it as it has been to the steps albums.
November 20, 20204 yr What is the H & Claire EP that is currently shooting up the iTunes albums chart?

November 25, 20204 yr They're B-Sides from their album and singles they released from Another You, Another Me. Not sure if I heard B-sides, but "Another You, Another Me" is my favourite Steps related album.
April 14, 20214 yr I don’t go back to it anywhere near as much. It has some great songs but I think it falls away after after around Centre of my Heart.
April 14, 20214 yr Loved H & Claire - especially the last two singles. I was annoyed when Steps split but not surprised (they were already doing SMTV) Album was ok - I love the Abba song on it - Another You Another Me
April 14, 20214 yr DJ is definitely my fave from the pair of them  Edited April 14, 20214 yr by Tombo

April 15, 20214 yr All out of love remains their best song for me and i loved the almighty remix. I wonder what really went so wrong for them, i think alot of it was the backlash from Steps fans as many blamed them for the split. Edited April 15, 20214 yr by Feel_The_Fever
April 15, 20214 yr Did anyone work out what this was?? They compiled all of their original b-sides into an EP and released them digitally for the first time. The only H & Claire single I ever listen to is All Out Of Love, although they have a great b-side on that EP called Don't Give Up (Don't Let Go), which certainly should have been on the album.
April 15, 20214 yr DJ was very good at the time, but I don’t think it aged well, and Half A Heart was ok but a little forgettable. <_<
April 16, 20214 yr Half a heart was a poor choice of single and killed any potential dj created for them.

The only H & Claire single I ever listen to is All Out Of Love, although they have a great b-side on that EP called Don't Give Up (Don't Let Go), which certainly should have been on the album. Cool. I was never into H & Claire (probably because they were my least favourite members of the group) but I'm tempted to buy this and give it a listen.
April 16, 20214 yr Half a heart was a poor choice of single and killed any potential dj created for them. Imo Half a Heart has a catchy chorus (I haven’t heard it for years but I still remember how it goes). It did at least manage to give them a second Top 10 peak, even though it sank like a stone. The thing is, DJ wasn’t exactly massive either... it may have got to #3, but it plummeted down the chart quickly, and then it only managed to hang around in the later weeks of its chart run due to being put into bargain bins. Total sales ended up just shy of 100,000 in 2002, which was less than all of Steps’ singles. I think DJ was destined to do okay due to it being a debut single & it coming so soon after Steps’ split/drama, but its quick descent wasn’t a great early sign for things to come. I don’t think Half a Heart really killed anything. I believe they could have released anything & the interest in them was destined to wane. All Out of Love is generally well liked in the Steps fan base & that didn’t exactly turn things around for them, it did marginally worse than Half a Heart, and it’s also the song that launched the album which performed dismally.
April 16, 20214 yr DJ did sink fast which was a worrying start but from memory I just felt half a heart was when I knew it wasnt going to go well for them. When all out of love was released I was half thinking it wouldnt go top 10 and as I loved the song I was so happy it did despite falling fairly fast. As none of the singles were huge hits I knew the album wasnt going to be a huge success but was hoping top 20, top 40 I thought was worst case scenario so when it went in at 58 I was so shocked and disappointed.
